Thanks for the great trip report! I have been interested in mescaline for a long time now. Seems a lot of you like it. Would you think it's even better than mushrooms?

It's different. "Better" is subjective, and depends on what you're looking for. You don't achieve the ego death you get on a high dose of shrooms, but it can still be very therapeutic in terms of learning to love nature, others, and yourself.

yea personally i like mescaline better than mushrooms, but yea its different for everyone and depends on what your looking for

I purchased a 12 inch cutting of dried San Pedro and plan on consuming it all (I only weigh 115 lbs.), but I have heard that only 6 inches is needed and that sometimes 12 inches is more than enough. Other times I hear of people consuming 16 inches or more. If I were to consume 12 inches for my 1st time, how strong of a trip will it be and how long should I expect to be high on it? Is it easy to control your actions if needed (for instance in front of a parent)?

every cacti is a different strength in potency..... theres no way to precisely measure your dose unless its in pure form...  imo its always worse to take too little then to take too much........ sooo bottoms up  :crazy2: :tripping:

that was an amazing report, I felt the same way the first time I tried it, I thought it was the absolute perfect experience, however mine wasn't as intense as yours, and reading this report makes me want to try it again as soon as possible. keep the great story's comming. :thumbup:

And I love it too cuz that way I got a chance to read it... Of course, like many times before, your trip report made me (from someone who previously was waiting for the right time to try mescaline) now amazed by your trip and ready to do something about it.

It is also interesting that I find some striking similarities between your trip report and a few words about mescaline I heard in private messages from someone on another forum, check it out:


"The visuals on 16mgs of 2C-E flowed in the same general direction as Mescaline's, but 2C-E was much more technical and "mechanical" feeling. Mescaline seemed to have more of a natural feeling and knew exactly where it wanted me and what it wanted to show me, whereas 2C-E sort of pulled me through different things. I don't remember a significant stimulation with Mescaline because I was out in the woods by myself, but I'm sure it was there. I will never forget that experience. If there were a +5 on Shulgin's scale, that trip would have been it. Mescaline is a perfectly constructed puzzle, while it seems like you are building the puzzle while you are on the synthetic Phenethylamines."

"As for Mescaline, it was perfection for me. A 100% complete masterpiece work of art. I believe I had such a great trip because I was out in the woods during the day, by myself, and in a very non-stressful state of mind. I was really peaceful before I even ate the Peyote. I rarely leave the S&P forum, but I'm glad I stumbled upon your post -Beautiful report! Really enjoyed it! I wish that I had friends to accompany me on many long acid trips of my youth. Of mescaline and peyote, there was never enough to experience the full effects, but now I am intrigued once again (even if it's 30 years later!)

This report and zerohere's are  directly responsible for my cultivation of san pedro and lophophora cacti and my avid interest in mescaline.  Good stuff man!

Superb report!

I`ve got 120g dryed peruvian torch ready for the weekend for me and a friend, I think it`ll be enough wont it? could it be stretched to 3 people or would that be too mild?
I`m looking to have colourfull visuals, the last time i did it i did 30g and was at threshold, movement but no colour :frown:

Oh and importantly, you have said that you felt "High" for the whole next day and maybe the day after, did you have visuals then too?
When did the visuals wear off roughly?

Don`t want to have visuals at work heh :wink:

oops, i realized i had read that report before but i read the whole thing over again anyway because its so good. i've got some pedro seeds that i'm going to begin germinating very soon!! i believe i have been looking for mescaline and my time will come in the next year or so.

30 grams was threshold? I guess the mescaline content varies alot. For me 30 grams was an upper level 3. Be carefull.

Oh, and the after effects do not included visuals, except some really mild CEVs.
