Quick and easy question...

Hello folks, quick and easy q for any somewhat expierienced people, here gos... I have a cake and its on its 2nd flush, there are a few mushrooms growing from the vermiculite at the bottom, so my question is would it be prudent to flip the cake over so the verm is at the top. Thanks for any replys

true that.

they seem to like the verm wherever it is seeing as it supplies a bit more moisture... in the future, scrape all of the lose vermiculite off and double-end case and roll. big words to basically say, put a bit of wet verm on both ends, and roll the cake in some wet verm... it really does help with your cake yield, especially if you do a 24 hour dunk.

the reason you want that old verm off is because it traps all of the contaminants when it's in the jar. you're cutting your chances of contamination this way.
