Hi, my buddy is growing shrooms for the first time, his jars are covered with mycelium but theres a couple little patches where its a little yellowy white, is this contaminated, also, after their totaly covered when do you take em out of the jar?

as cakes age it it perfectly normal for them to excrete a small yelowish liquid. You can birth the cakes now if you like but i recommend invitro pinning....this means wait until you can see little pinheads forming before you birth

I would birth the cakes NOW and case them.
I find that many strains do not work well with invitro tek. Matias Romero prolly works best.
