I'm sorry if I sound redundant... But am I to assume that when you say 1-1.5cc, you are referring to syrange made on 1/4 print or ones you order? Because spore count still varies when you make syringes...

You're right the spore count will be diff but the inoculation amounts will be the same. Like I said, you don't need a purple-black syringe. Lightly lavender-tinted is fine. You can inoculate 1cc per site if you want, it's just sort of wasteful. You're going to see fast growth anyway.

you will get better success with more spores especially if your only innoc 4 places i would use alot of spore. And fill your new syringe with boiling distil led water pull slow and wait it will fill, put cap on then you can even boil the hole thing in a bigger pot in tap water or pc with cap on,this is pf's way. oh and dont boil/pc to long you will lose liquid in it 10min. is good

To wrap up this thread... Let me summerize what I got from this...

I have sterile stuff, including water. And the jars are already prepped and been sitting in observation for contamination for few days now. I'll wait until the Typhoon passes us(it's very very very very windy right now) then keep the jars that don't stink and has no obvious contam.

Make 6 syringes per print is good concentration and use ample amount of innoculate. Since I'm using completely sterile equipments, don't cook nothing at this point. Just put some sterile water into sterile cup, wait about 6 hours to rehydrate, draw syringes, then innoculate. Keep the jars in the tub in tub set ups in the dark at 85F. Check back in about a week and post pictures.

Did I miss anything?

even bottled distilled water should be boiled get a half pint put your amount of spore water boil/pc it then scrape print in it have a small hole to suck up or have boiled water already in syringe. also you want your jars fresh as possible if you open them before inocc. to smell them thats not good unless its a control jar your not gonna use.never open a jar unless its in a glovebox if you dont have it innoc pf way with lid on.you wont know if its contamed until myc growth stops or dont grow that takes over a week. gl

What it boils down to is 1cc of clear is fine. If you have a dark syringe still 1cc but more spores..works quicker. More spores is never a problem Injecting more can be though if you inject to much water with it. That's why to many spores is bad. But thicker spore solution is fine because its the same about of water. More then 2-3 cc's can throw your water off alot, less can if your using already very wet substrate or smaller jars like PF Tek.

Thanx. I innoculated my jars(waited over a week for observation without spores) couple of days ago. I get the.. I should just post pictures. Anyways, I use water from Braun Medical Inc. It's sterile solution of .9% NaCl and 5% Dextrose. I have some sterile water without sodium or dextrose I used to make syringes I put in storage.

Thanx for all the help. My jars seem to be colonizing fast. About the size of a dollar coin wide and almost the entire height. So, thanx again.
