I believe I came across some amanita muscaria formosa. They are kind of dirty and my camera really sucks. In fact my camera is so horrible it doesnt even have a macro mode (I have checked). The cap is yellow around the outer side and gets kind of tanner towards the middle. The gills are white are not attached to the stem. These mushrooms are slimy and sticky. They have the white "warts" on them that easily come off. The stem is yellowish white. The base of the stem is bulbous. I found these out in the woods in arlington washington (north of seattle).

also here are some other pics from my journey today.

Thanks in advance!

I highly doubt that those are A. muscaria of any type. They could be deadly. DO NOT EAT!

I'm with Gumby. I don't think those are Amanita muscaria. From what details are visible I'd be more inclined to go with A. pantherina or A. gemmata. There are also several other similar species, some of which are as yet undescribed. Glad to have you say you won't eat them - unknown Amanitas are not good mushrooms for experimentation.

Interesting specimens. Try doing the photography from a little farther back and cropping the photos to get some better results.

Happy mushrooming!
