glovebox questions...

building your own glove box... no one seems to use rubber gloves? Should i not? also how do you go about wiring the fan to run from a wall socket?
Theres usually 1 hole with a fan and a mask but how does air exit if the air is being constantly pushed in with no where to go?

You dont need a fan. And for gloves you can just use bags. I made a nice glovebox once with a fishtank on its side and taped a kitty litter bag over the front for my hands.

I always use gloves it's just very cheap insurance in my book. A glove box that is sealed with gloves does not use a fan and is one of the best sterile environments once "clean" that is available.

i've looked a bunch of places and a lot of the glove box setups i';ve seen have had computer fans with a hepa filter surrounding the intake or a dust mask...
but if its not necessary :laugh:

What benefits do the fan give?

Just makes things a little more complicated, thats it. I myself like to make things a little more complicated sometimes when I'm bored. Remember make your GB wider than deeper this will make it more user friendly :wink:

If it has a fan it's not a glovebox, but rather a flow hood.
