Memory loss on shrooms?

I never shroomed before but was wondering if anyone experiences memory loss while on shrooms (and only shrooms). I have had trouble recalling experiences while high on weed but was wondering about shrooms. It would be very cool if there was no memory loss.

Typically your experience remains very vivid in your head after you come down. With higher dosages I somethime have trouble recalling what had happened to me durning the peak. Not becuase I can't but more so because there was just too much going on to remember it all.

Yeah, I agree with djd586. I forget loads of stuff while I'm tripping, but remember afterwards. You get distracted at the time....
I think weed's much worse for retrospective recall.

Do you mean post memory loss, or trouble remembering certain subjects during a trip?

As far as high dosage on shrooms, and during the trip, rememberance is of the essence.  That is where our reality stems from, we already KNOW everything, it is wether we allow ourselves to remember it or not. (like dreams, in a way) when you are at a Lvl 4-5, that gets a little difficult though.  i think during the occurance of ego loss, there is a rapid cycle that your mind, body and soul is trying to release, to complete remove the assumptions, emotions, and prejusices of the "true" entity....

I'd say yes and no.
I've had times where I remember it all, other times where I only remember parts of it coming through in waves, and finally I have experienced once where he I rolling around on the ground for 4 hours, laughing hysterically only to "wake up" 4 hours later, find myself sitting on a couch, utterly confused and not knowing what the hell just happened.

Magic my friend, they are indeed magic.

Sometimes I forget when I am on shrooms. Sometimes I remember.

The more I did it, the more I forgot.

Memory loss...hell yeah! I think I'd forget what happend on a trip because everything was too intense and things seemed to be going 100mph and happening all at once. It's like every single one of my thoughts wants to come out all at once. There are also times when I can remember everything that happened clears as day and all in order. I think it depends on the level of intensity of your trip. Not like level 1,4,5, or whatever. I mean hot intense the situation or surrounds are while you're tripping. Then there would be times when I'd have memory loss WHILE tripping. Such things as forgetting what job I have, who my family members are or where they live. I might forget where (in the country) I am, or just strange things like that. One time I wasn't sure if I had a girlfriend or not or who my girlfriend was.
In conclusion, I love mushrooms! haha

yeah, sometimes if I'm talking to people, I forget what they and I just said, makes for interesting conversations.

the best is when you forget who or to a greater extent, what you are. crazy shit man, not for everyone. only good in some settings though.

So basically I've gotten every answer possible... strange
I'm guessing from everyone's posts that it is possible to not remember everything from a trip but it depends on the circumstances, especially what level the trip is. I should have said it earlier but I am assuming that no other drugs are involved, just pure shrooms.

the second time i was in Holland (Amsterdam) with a couple of friends, we were tripping balls with the great Copelandias (pan.cyans) in a wonderful park, Vondelpark. My friend  asked me a question while we were walking, i looked at him and said to myself "who the hell is this guy??"

it took 1-2 minutes to remember that i know him for more than 15 years :grin:

yer, the level will affect recall. if you do under 3 grams you should remember it all or at least most of it. any higher and you'll only bring back bits (thats jst a rough guide to dosage).

how much you planning on doing for your first trip?

I really don't know. I don't even have a scale to weigh the stuff, but I guess I should weigh it before I do anything. I want a medium dose... so I'm not flipping out but also I don't want the experience to be lame. I'm 210 pounds but I'm generally a bit sensitive to drugs, though I've never tried psychadelics.

Many people have proposed the use of "smart drugs" in order to intergrate more of the trip.Piracetam Hydergine and Ginko Biloba can increase bloodflow,glucose uptake in the brain as well as boosting generally the neurotransmition.

On high doses I rarely remember most of the trip. And of the bits I do remember I can't remember the order of the events.
