San Pedro spots

i have black and gray spots at the base of my cactus and towards the middle. Does anyone know what these are? And how do I cure them?

normal.. just watch for soft spots as that is an indicator of rot.. but those little black spots that look like your pedro is spewing out opium.. not a problem, in my experience at least... as long as they are hard. Keep a close eye on them.

are they soft?

No way to cure them.... they're cactus freckles. No worries.

No they are as hard as the cactus skin. It does look like they spew opium.
