San Pedro in trouble
    #2090510 - 11/10/03 09:40 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Hi, help please.. I'm not sure if this is a common problem but both my san pedros (in pots, next to each other) have suddenly gotten these black spots randomly located over their surfaces.

The top spot in that pic is oozing a little bit of some kind of very thick sticky black stuff.

Ive got it also. It has infected most of mine but it doesn't get any larger. My best guess is that it is like a mole on skin, its not good or bad but just there. its not hurting them but to cut them out would hurt them so ive just not taken a chance.

If there is another opinion please speak up id love to get rid of the dots.

I had the same thing and eventually they will go away. Mine came after a heavy rainfall period and I assumed that it was from too much water. That might not be the case.

I see those all the time. I'm always really hesitant to water them when they get those though. it IS obviously rot infection and all, even if it looks healthy and contained.
