Gymnolious Spectabilis. I think Ive stumbled across a couple patches of these yellow beauties. Does any have any good pics and descriptions?

Does anyone else enjoy them in GA?

I dont particularly enjoy them but when theres nothing around they are the next best thing.

search it on the site.. there are
recent finds and others dated
from last september, october, november....
I had a few finds last year in the sept/oct...time frame..

He seems to have quite a bit of experience (IMO)
regarding the species, habitat, collecting, and
preserving.

In my Amanita Formosa fields.

Its behind a huge newly constructed warehouse. Lots of pine. Theres even a running creek back there, untouched by anything, and I can see a break in the fence where someone has snuck in. Could this be a weilii spot? Do they really grow in wild commonly?

Im very intrigued by Gymnolious, and will be contacting GG1, thank you. I will be photographing what I believe to be a relative strain tommorow.

No, not potent and theyre the worse tasting shit youll ever put in your mouth. They should be out the next time it goes into the high 50's or low 60's with rain.

The first link in a google search for them says they are poisonous. And if they aren't active, and people eat them, who is wrong? :confused:

they are toxic in the sense that they contain several psychoactive substances. there has been much speculation as to whether they are toxic to the liver in repeated ingestion, and apearantly assays have found hydrazene in some specimens [from what i've heard, the specimens where collected in areas where there was industrial contamination, eg. hydrazene]. i don't know the details of any of these studies or assays but if anyone else can site them for me i would appreciate.

also, MJ seems to have a good amount of info regaurding gyms and thier constituents [it was he who told me they contain, amoung other things, kavatone].
