Slow EQ

Know someone that just did a batch of 7 rye jars, 4 of them EQ and 3 TAZ. Its the 5th day and the Taz have colonized the 3 jars 25%. 3 of the EQ jars show no growth whatsoever. The one that does show growth only shows a couple rye berries with mycelium on it; not a whole lot compared to Taz.

Any ideas why the EQ is wussing out? How long before openening up the dud jars and checking for contams?

They are currently being incubated in a tub on tub setup at 84 F

if no growth in 30 day start it over, is the way i go good luck

I just innoculated 5 jars with EQ and 5 with GT, and the EQ's are growing pathetically slow compared to the GT's

I had that happ b4. If theres somethin wrong you'll c it b4 30 days. Don't open the jars, just relax. Seeing a little growth in 1 of the jars is very positive.
