Thanks guys... I'll definatly put a trip report up. Hey Condi, sadly I watched a beautiful owl die in front of me today. Seen it limping along side of the road,.. pulled over... called a wildlife rescue, by the time they got there he slowly faded off to his happy hunting grounds in the sky. Never seen one up so close or touched one.... absolutly beautiful feathers. I wanted to keep some but the lady told me its illegal here except for the indians to keep raptor feathers. Still an interesting experience. Maybe I'll get lucky and have a hawk fly over me this weekend and drop some feathers I was thinking some Doors music would be really good for this experience this weekend. Perhaps The Lizard Kings spirit will come walk the cosmo highway with us

Celebration of the Lizard would definitely be cool...Ya know, 'Lions in the street and roaming; Dogs in heat rabid, foaming..." Or 'American Prayer'...Mr. Mojo Risin' was a beautiful poet first and foremost..

Hawk, The owl gave his life for you so that his spirit will always be with you! The owl may be your totem or if the hawk is already your totem, the owl is now a companion in your journey and in life.

It is also important to point out that the Owl represents Wisdom, truth, patience. Only the Mescalero believe that the Owl carries the souls of the recently deceased, a death messenger. Owl is the totem of clairvoyants and mystics. Hawk, I have spent much time with the natives in my region and in Alaska. I believe that a better thing could not have happened to you.

Ryche, before you eat them, harvest the seeds, you can usually find some in the fuzz in the center of each button...plant & care for them, peyote is damn near extinct in the wild, give back what you take...make the most of this experience, dont waste it by just sitting around partying, laughing at music, etc...treat the sacrament with respect...peace

So little time write now trying to get prepared before we go and drop off orders at the last minute :) That was some deep thought McMan, I thought about it a lot last night. My totem animals are the hawk and coyote, I haven't talked to them in a while, perhaps this weekend would be a good time to rekindle that friendship. Anyway, lots more to say... really looking forward to this experience. I'll write when I get back.

yes, do plant the seeds. I think we should spread the seeds throughout the shroomery. If all of our spiritually inclined folk are welcome to the idea, I have no problem growing peyote for 5 years. (at least, thats how long it takes to button)

Peace be with you this weekend Hawk. It's funny that owls were mentioned in this post. The night before last I was outside looking at the sky just after twilight and a humongous owl flew about 10 feet above my head, it looked down at me as it passed. Amazing experience. I envy you Hawk, you will have great visions. I'm sending good energy to you, you'll be in my thoughts.

Had to ask a couple of old 'Res' friends opinion of situation. Knew it would probably be confrontational, but, believe it or not, most felt a good thing. Even for an outsider. (Of course, they got a little backround on you). Basically, told me Mescalito not desciminatory by any means, but will wreck vengence on those unprepared. Muscalito will take care of whatever is presented to him, in his own way, and the power IS there! Only experience has been through several invites, under traditional circumstances. Just hope your experience proves as well as past experience. ;) Your going to be reading after the fact, so hope it has some revelance. Hope all went well. Peace
