 The Hawks Eye Toys 4 Tots spore drive

Hello all you happy mushroom farmers,
Currently we are having our 3rd annual Toys for Tots spore drive for 2001. All money received for the Thailand Lipa Yai cubensis strain from now until December 17th will be used to buy toys for childeren from families who don't have much money. We donate the toys to the Marines Toys for Tots Holiday drive and they distribute them accordingly by the families they screen ahead of time. We know everybody gets a little busy during the holidays so if you want to send any additional money to this charity fund raiser we'll do the work for you.
As we did in the last 2 years, a picture will be posted of all those toys your money helped buy for some needy childeren. As we all know, toys help keep kids imagination active and a smile on there face even when life seems grim.
Our first year we collected around $200, and bought these toys, last year we collected around $425 and bought these toys. We've picked one of our best strains this year and even lowered the price to hopefully collect $600. Please help us achieve our goal and bring some happieness to some deserving childeren. So if your going to make an order with The Hawks Eye over the next few weeks, please consider the Thai Lipa Yai for this charity event. Thank You.

By the way, I'll be out of the office this next week. I'll be in Washington picking ps. cyanescens part of the week, then down the Oregon coast to pick ps. azurescens. Hopefully I'll be bringing back lots of spores and some great pics.
All orders that were in my mailbox up to Nov 24th are being mailed before I leave. Everything else will be processed and mail the day after I get back, Dec. 4th.

This is GREAT!
For those of you who don't know, Ryche Hawk has been doing this for awhile, and every year he ends up with a car load of toys! And what a great cause. I had a good childhood, and my holidays are some of my best memories. But I know many people who don't have the same feelings I do when it comes to the holidays.
So whenever the holidays roll arounnd and I see Ryche post his yearly "Toys for Tots" post I get a good feeling.
All year long people flame each other, bad mouth other members of this community. But hopefully its gestures like this that will bring us together and realize how lucky some of us really have it. I think its good too since its such a nice thing (especially since its connected with our favorite hobby).
Ryche, if there's anything I can do, please PM me.

Yah, opening presents at Christmas time was always my favorite time of the year. The anticipation... the excitement...and the joy of having new toys to fuel the imagination and share with friends was always so much fun and made being a kid seem timeless.
These $400 to $600 toy drives arent much, but if they bring some happiness to 20 or 30 kids this Christmas it was worth all the extra effort.

The toys for tots spore drive is coming along nicely.
So far the collection is up to $350 with 11 days to go.
Thanks to all those who have directed there orders to the Lipa Yai to help with the drive. Lipa Yai sales are way up so its nice to see ppl take notice of this charity drive.
BTW, these Thai Lipa Yai spore syringes are not watered down or cheap just because we dropped the price to $10 and are doing a charity drive. They are very very spore clouded syringes I can assure you nobody will be disappointed

It would be nice if more vendors did things like this. It's a good cause, but just as important is how it shows the world that you people really aint "half-bad".

Most ppl that are very serious about these mushrooms aren't "half bad" je je je These mushrooms seem to attract good hearted ppl for the most part.
I'll be going offline for a couple of days. I have to reload Windows XP pro....
A little tip for all you computer buffs thinking about upgrading to this OS. It absolutly rocks...but be sure and give it a very large system drive. I gave it 3 Gigs when I partitioned my hard drive and it used 2.7 gigs... So I have to reload the whole OS again and give it more space.
Next week I'll be working on posting lots of new pics and start working on video footage.
All orders that were in my box up to Wednesday, and in paypal up to Dec 5th were mailed today. Like I promised.. faster service .

When I said "you people really aint "half-bad" I meant all of you vendors. But, I can see that how the words I used could be interputed that way. I was meaning to imply that the mushroom "comunity" is a careing group of people.
