quitting ciggs easier than quitting weed

and for me it is true, it is way easier for me to quit ciggarettes than it was for me to quite marijuana. I still want to smoke a joint right now, but as for a ciggarette, you can forget it, yuck!!! It's been over a month since I've had a cigg, and it's been a little over 3 weeks since I've smoked pot. *sigh* light up a joint for me somebody!!!!!
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

I'm sure for certain people, this holds to be true. For me, it isn't even close. I struggled so hard to quit cigarettes.
Weed, I quit for months at a time cold turkey with no problems.
Cigs made me sweat in bed for one.

I quit pot a decade ago. Had to for work reasons. Never cared, I was never a big stoner to start with.
I haven't had a cig in the last 3 weeks. Just giving my body a rest for a while. I may smoke again in the future but for now I'm laying off.
I've never understood how people struggle with it so much. I just quit, no big deal. I guess I just don't have an addictive personality. I don't recall ever having a hard time quitting anything.

Neither is all that important to me. I never became addicted to cigs, so quitting them would be no big deal for me. As for weed, I smoke it when it's available, but I can do without. However, I find that I'm more pleasant to be around when I'm stoned. I'm more chill, more friendly, and I don't stutter as much.

Same here. I've just cut down on pot, but I couldn't quit it. It's too much harmless fun. Ciggs taste like cheese to me now, no temptation at all.

Evan, how often do you smoke? I smoke everyday, and I'm hardly dumb as cheese. Are you high all day long, because if that is the case, perhaps that is why you aren't functioning.

Maybe it's because you're not quitting because you want to, but because you have to? Marijuana can be addicting to some people however, so it could also simply be that.
-------------------- The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

me too! I smoke cigs enough to be addicted if I chose to be... but I still maintain a strict limit on how many I smoke, and I can control a nicotine craving very easy... but POT on the other hand... I am right with ya!

I've tried to quit smoking ciggs. For me its way harder to without a ciggy then to go without weed. I can go weeks at a time without getting high. It doesn't phase me. But try and keep me without ciggs for a day and I'm a crazy person.
I'm sure its different for everyone.
