Most the construction jobs I've had didn't even require one. Just everyone wondering if I can start immediately.

My pension should be pretty decent thankfully. I always worked on the books and paid into Canada pension plan.

Lots of people I know did construction or other shit for cash and didn't pay into it.

It's astonishing how many people I know live paycheque to paycheque as well. I just had to lend my friend $60 so he could buy some coffee and food...said he can't pay me back until end of the month.

I only started when I got off the booze 5 years ago..I was always broke before. Having my investments make me 5000 + a year the past couple years is wild. Really helps me out and furthers the savings.

I'm pretty much done working already and will probably do part time from here on out. :tongue2:

I am on a permanent provincial disability pension thank fuck and only work 30 hours a week when I work. We have an annual earnings exemption of 16k cleared on disability then it gets deducted from your cheques dollar for dollar after that. Apparently that is changing for the better to 30k earnings allowed soon but currently I just work until I hit that limit every year. Usually around August or September. I do ok between all my income streams without working excessive hours.

My plan is to retire at 65 or whatever age I can collect Social Security, giving me 24 years to contribute to both a 401(k) and a Roth IRA, which will hopefully result in nearly a million dollars for retirement.
