And judging from the latest exit polls, it appears the loss of seats is from smaller parties within Netanyahu's coalition -- Likud is projected to pick up a couple seats and remain the single largest party in Israeli politics -- hardly the rebuke against "old era" Israel like Eisenkot's celebratory speech would suggest

Let's see what happens next -- most Israeli opposition leaders have promised to not include any of the Arab parties in the new government, even if those seats would grant them a majority -- but similar rhetoric in the past hasn't stopped limited coalitions from propping up Israeli governments -- politicians lie when convenient

Still... it's exceedingly shameful that 'othering' Arab Israelis (ie Palestinians) is the default political position demanded by Israeli society

Incredibly on the nose that neither Eisenkot nor Bibi’s coalition want a majority if it means partnering with the Arabs.

God bless the only democracy in the Middle East.

Cool, can your ai slop respond to this report?

Lack of Protective Structures Against Missile Attacks in Arab Localities

Quote:
As will be shown below, Arab localities in Israel are in a state of inadequate protection and suffer from gaps in protective infrastructure compared to Jewish localities (some of which also lack adequate protection). This is also supported by data collected since the start of the current war. This reality –  of insufficient protection for Arab communities –  is not new; it has been raised in numerous discussions, reports, and court rulings. Yet, despite the fact that this constitutes a major threat to the citizens of the State of Israel, and despite various decisions, programs, and actions taken on the issue, the government has not yet completed the fortification of Arab localities against the threat, and the protection gaps between populations persist.

You would think, at least in a functioning democracy, that "Arab Israelis" doubling the amount of seats won would have been lauded as an example of a historically underrepresented ethnic group making a great stride forward

Instead? Democratic participation by Arabs was treated with the rhetoric of an invading army -- Raiding the polling stations! Stealing the elections! Matter of life and death! -- and completely shut out from inclusion even at the cost of forming a new government

What does that have to do with Hamas using their women and children as human shields for the sake of propaganda?

Look, I know you prefer the simplistic framings provided by ai slop cartoons and YouTube influencers, but the idea that 'Israel protects civilians, Hamas uses human shields' doesn't hold up when we examine how Arab Israelis face systemic disparities in civilian protection -- let alone once we consider the occupied territories -- go ask Grog to turn my explanation into a cartoon if you're still confused

"The idea that Israel protects its civilians while Hamas uses theirs as human shields" doesn't hold up?  What a ridiculous claim to make at this point, when it's become common knowledge.  You can go ahead and ask Grog or whomever your current robot source of information is, and it's impossible to get around those facts unless it's somehow programmed to be an antisemetic robot.

The citizens of Israel being protected includes Palestinian Arabs, who are allowed to live there freely...remember?  There's no vice-versa with Jews in Gaza.  The missiles that Hamas has wantonly launched into Israel, along with the suicide bombings, have impacted Arabs and Jews alike.  Hamas doesn't care who dies, because they are a death cult.

Ai says your cognitive issues have more to do with poverty than your early crack exposure.

Poverty Matters More Than the Drug: Subsequent research made clear that environmental factors—such as chronic poverty, lack of access to healthcare, unstable housing, and malnutrition—have a far greater impact on a child's development than prenatal crack exposure alone.

He isn't confused, he just has a filter that doesn't allow the overwhelmingly vast body of inconvenient facts get in the way of the shitty narrative he subscribes to.

It's called willful ignorance...

I've read through this entire dumpster fire of a thread with an open mind, and haven't seen any 'facts' presented by you or your fellow racists which might persuade me to think differently than I currently do about the matter at hand

Shiva's the one who brought up 'grok', which I've never actually used.  My reference was meant to mock his reference to it.  You need to work on your reading comprehension, bro.
