Puck today:


Gave the perlite a drink and the puck a good mist, also poked more holes in the bag.  Got 2 cakes finally being dunked and 8 more lined up to be noced, probably doing that later this evening or tomorrow.

So I’ll toss an update on my cakes. They all seem to be a bit out of gas. Humidity might be a bit low so I may do something drastic to change things up in a bit. But I did get a couple fruits from on of the F10 ms cakes. So I got it printing right now and really that is my true goal with all this. To get some fresh spores. Gonna get those on agar asap and get some fast fresh germ.







So maybe not a cake wars contender but having fresh spores feels like a complete win

Great news: I've been being a whiny bitch!

The KSSS print that I received might've been right in the end. Since it was MS, it makes sense that regular shrooms arise. Thankfully, squat phenos are also showing up





I guess I was confused cause sometimes people get uniform squat flushes, but those are probably from LCs.

So yay! Hopefully it ends up being a squat one that still releases spores. Would be better to use those for crossing since it is more chokeful of the recessive genes I suppose.

Is this kind of frills/petals pattern showing up on these pins something characteristic of your strain?

I just can't tell if it's also appearing on the other jars.

It looks really cool, to be honest!

No they’re unfortunately a side effect of my dry ass environment. They pinned invitro but there wasn’t enough humidity and they aborted invitro too :mad:

Argh, what a fucking pain. I didn't know they were aborts. But after a good dunk they'll explode with growth.

Anyway, it's a shame they don't keep that look — it looks super cool aesthetically.

Whaddup cake growing goombas, update going down, been meaning to, having hardware issues over here, and I just got back from the PNW, beautiful rock formations in the upper Oregon coastline.  But, back to it, came home Saturday, and Sunday morning 12 cakes were birthed and dunked for 24hrs.



A few invitro fruits from the APE R, I didn't take a pic of the AA+ fruits, they were Mush smaller

A shot of one of the tubs, just my normal 6qts with 4 cakes each. They are short so I will use the lid for pinning, then dubbed to the finish line.

That perlite has been sat in a bag for a year not paying rent, so I'm putting it to work while I decide on the best way to automate my tents.

perlite has no real use to me, I just trust that the dunk will provide and it does. Had me some perlite that I washed and all it did was clog our drains...hehe.

ez fix use screen to lay down in the tub before u rinse it :thumbup:it will catch all the lil bit of perlite that comes out the bottom :thumbup:
