I just dropped 3 Triangle Kush seeds, time to get fired back up.  I also came home from the PNW to 4 GDP plants almost dry and straight to the half-gallon mason jars.  Almost 9 days from chop, that's about right for the size of the nugz.  Ya'll keep those fingers green and stay FROSTY!

I believe these ladies have just begun to hit the pre flower stretch. I see pistils and they grew a couple inches overnight. I'll probably top dress with some organic flower fertilizer in the next day or 2. I do believe the soil ph is a little too close to 7, one is at 6.8 the other is at 6.9, so I'm going to try to bring it down a little. Maybe I'll do a 6.0 watering to see how that goes.

I am seeing signs of deficiencies but knowing the pH is too high I'm working on that first to see if it fixes my issue. All the deficiencies seem to be on the lower half so I think I'll be good when I fix it. The run off was at 6.8 and 6.9 last time I watered, so I did a slurry test at from the root zone to confirm it was still there and it was. I added a teaspoon of elemental sulphur to each pot and scratched it in. I watered with 6.0ph water that I used citric acid to bring it down to 6.0. Supposably this will start to neutralize the buffer and it's a quick fix until the sulphur startes getting converted to sulphuric acid and fixes it long term. I added recharge and tested the run off again. It's at 6.7 which I think is too high but better then it was.

You guys and your fancy numbers....I have a $3 analog hygrometer and that is the most numbers I use in my tent 🤣




Edit: I just eyeball these and adjust accordingly to how each plant responds 😅


Ps. Sometimes you just get super finicky plants that are grumpy looking no matter what you do. My turbocharged has been like that 🤷‍♂️

This site isnt doing it for me anymore. My real life has not got any better and not being around like minded people here only makes it worse. I dont even really trip anymore and am only focusing on weed.

I tried to come back here but it just turns into arguing over dumb shit.

Overgrow is a cesspool of growers that can't hack it at 420mag, too much competition and growers actually check each other when you are out of line.  OG does nothing to stop the spreading of noob wrong information that keeps finding its way around.  There is a dood over at OG that has the dirtiest hash bags I have every seen, but then fronts like he knows what he's doing.  I have had my bags since 06', I have never washed or cleaned them ever with baking soda, you name it, clean fresh water when the bags are wet do the trick.  My bags haven't changed in 20 years.  Cool giveaways at OG tho', if that's your thing.

I wouldn’t, could have been sprayed with pesticides, or could have uptaken round up.  Otherwise it’d be fine, might offset the micro herd balance though.

I let them dry out almost completely. I have only watered 3 times in 4 weeks, and I don't add water to the self water bases it's there just to catch any runoff. This past time I used a full gallon in each and got maybe a few ounces of runoff.

Cool. I asked cause I'm soaking grain now. I get my grain from a local farmer that grows organically. Cheap and local is awesome

I have grown many cycles with smartie fabric pots (3's 5's and 7's), but I'm going to convert you to SIPs one of these days Big Perm.  :laugh2:

You will see the power of passive hydro and never look back.  I used to setup wicks for VEG plants years ago for a Tropical Plant house in the mid 90's, and I used to use them for Cannabis, but never for bloom, but wicks are fine if you plain water, but I feed my plants so it's more efficient to use the soil as the wick and bottom water (wicks will clog with feedings).  At peak bloom, they will drink the whole tank (holds about 3/4's of a gallon) in under 2 days, or just over a day real time.

All good, I grow with both, but I did shave my VEG times down to 35-38 days (depending on 2 or 3 plants and variety), instead of 45+ in 7 gal smarties. I make it happen now in about 4 gallons of soil instead of 7 (or 12gal instead of 21).
