P.cubensis bottle Tek * 2

Hi, I just wanted to show you this small bottle Tek I did. This method it's becoming popular here.

The species is Psilocybe Cubensis. I myself picked up some wild specimens and cloned them on agar agar. Used pop corn and drippy tek. Used coco coir only, pasteurized on a small cooler.

Where did you get your wild specimen out of curiosity?

It's from El Salvador. Cow pastures, tropical weather, around 28°c to 30°c

Well, I've used lot of knowledge from here (Shoeboxes especially) and I wanted to make a post.

I will upload more pictures when this guy gets closer to break it's veil.

You said you cloned it? All of them the same clone?

Make sure to get those prints. I haven't heard of an El Salvador landrace one!

In sorry. What I mean its I took some wild specimen and I put it's inner flesh on agar, I did several transfers and kinds of agar (water,potato,karo honey) until it looked healthy.

I used the same agar plate to inoculate several popcorn grains.

and sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

What's the science here behind why I always see particularly large mushrooms from bottle tek?

It's almost like if you don't provide a lot of room to grow out they grow up.

They are searching for airflow to drop their spores so that the spores can travel far and wide, so the stipes grow long to reach the airflow at the top of the bottle

Yes, cut the bottle in half and ensemble. It has a passive FAE system. Mist when you don't see humidity on the walls. If the mushrooms start asking for oxygen (fat fruits, fuzzy feet) poke some small holes and cover with micropore.

Nice! I would maybe clone and print the fruit with the pointier hat in the 4th picture! Have you tested them out yet for potency? Was this also your first grow?

Since this is a landrace from El Salvador, get a lot of prints, and also try going from spores again. People like me would definitely be interested in trading since I like to collect wild varieties. Which region in El Salvador did you get it from?

When you clone something, you are cloning its potency. Hopefully the wild fruit you got was great.

If not, I would recommend against keeping growing stuff that is only ok or maybe even lower potency, restart from spores (pointy one in pic 4!) , and see if you get some better clone specimens for the next one.

I love using bottles and Jugs, they usually end up with fruits that are tall and long as fk, if thats the morphology you're looking for, I would definitely add it to your arsenal of fruiting chambers
