First post here (>^-^<), I finally signed up last night after about a month of finding my way around here.

I've become enthralled with the process. Haven't gotten any fruits yet (kinda) thus the sign up so I can be surrounded by others who have (I'm just a baby). I started my cult journey back in may/june of this year (2026), but have been an astronaut for 15+ years.

I currently have reishi going and its loving life, but for some reason, I cant get cubes to do the same. I whole heartedly believe in the medicine that are fungi, so I'm here for help as a humbled individual that wishes to whisper the language of the mushroom 🍄.

Hello I'm growing Psilocybe allenii outdoors next year for the first time. I'm also going to get some short jointed TBM for mescaline and some DMT extraction as well. Really, I'm just here to learn

Hello my fellow humans

I’m currently travelling through Central and South America. During my trip, I visited a small mushroom farm and have been hooked ever since. I’ve been a passionate consumer myself for years (both for gourmet purposes and tripping) and have had a fair bit of experience in preparing them. But I never grew a single shroom - and that's going too change.

It’s been a while since my early days as a grower, and when I return to Switzerland I’d certainly like to start with a simple setup at home and automate and finetune it over time. So I’m keen to learn and to support the forum as much as I can.:mushroom2:

Do you guys have a recommandation for a book, where I can learn about the different edible funghis and their growing style (prefered climate, substrate etc.)?

Will be quite active here. Looking forward to responses! :frown:

Thanks flapping bird. For my first grow, I thought I’d go for oyster mushrooms, as they’re easier to cultivate and make brilliant mushrooms for cooking. I’d tackle Lion’s Mane later, once I’ve gained more experience. I’m also looking forward to documenting my first setup and the yield for you in a few months’ time!
