hahaha! Well, the box turtle population here is very high. I run into one every 20 to 30 minutes while out foraging. And after the rains, they are everywhere!

We have quite a few other turtle species that reside here, but they are all aquatic. This is our only native land turtle.

Turtles would be my favourite if I saw them so often as you do.

My fave animal are sulfur crested cockatoos. they are EVERYWHERE where I live. It's so great being around animals you love. (Especially given I'm not super fond of people lol)

Yeah, I'd photograph all the water turtles that I encounter as well, but as soon as you get close enough, they splash off into the deep water :smirk:
