Yeah I got that. It's really not about Swing Voters but low turnout demographics.
I.e
Young people. Young people might love that Buttigieg is gay/Kamala is a Desi-Jamaican Mischling but if the rest isn't up to snuff they're not showing up. The swing voter thing is a distraction to make people okay with "radical" candidates getting shafted.

I get your point about voter turnout but at the same time those voters that decide to show up or not show up are often swing voters who don’t consistently vote one party or the other.  Yeah they might not show up if both candidates are boring but that’s what makes them “gettable” by either party.  Young people favored democrats in both 2020 and 2024 but by a slimmer margin in ‘24 than ‘20.
