This is hilarious, because your video literally describes all of the ways to address homelessness, and none of them are conservative policies.

You know how Republicans handle homelessness? They lock them up in jails... And that may sound like a perfectly good solution to you, but locking people up is more expensive, and detrimental to society in a million different ways, than addressing the problem, and helping people help themselves.

The way a society treats it's most vulnorable says everything about that society. When you endorse a society that treats human beings like throw-away commodities, don't be surprised when you are treated accordingly as well.

Arguably most of the homeless are drug addicts, and for most of them there seems to not be much to live for. Jail could sober them up long enough for a second chance, but if you've destroyed your brain chemistry to the point that you don't have goals or ambitions, you're just going to keep looking for the next escape. Some people are just zombies and it's too late. Focus on preventing people from getting to that point might be better. More mental health care, more integration and purpose-building systems for people to feel connected to. A lot of homeless have totally nuked their social connections and dignity. Even if they got sober, they'd have trouble feeling valued. It has to be a multi-prong solution for them to truly recover.

Letting people live in camps and enabling their addictions is just as inhumane as a jail cell IMO. We need something in between where people can be isolated from their vices while still being treated like human beings. Like a summer camp.

I'm generally pro drug access, but I guess it should be from a regulated dispensary where there's a system for denying people that are abusing drugs. Whoever deals to the homeless has no humanity or shame. It's entrepreneurial capitalism.

It's true, caffeine is a hell of a drug, a gateway drug if you will.

But back on the path of homeless increase individuals is simple in my opinion.  Education in childhood, we don't beat children enough to make them focus in school, we don't get them to have a forced work ethic that is needed in the job market. Without said forced work ethic staying employed is hard and not enough money spirals to homeless and near impossible to find said new job .

True lol but at least they're functional addicts. I guess most people are one slip away from being homeless and who wouldn't take their addictions with them if there was no hope. Maybe if people are guaranteed housing, healthcare, employment, food, and family they wouldn't get stuck in a hopeless position. Basically if everyone had Hunter Biden's privilege.

Universal Health care could allow us to euthanize them. A dignified death one might say. A death with dignity option.

So these kind of comments are coming out now that Abdul has won the primary, and I think we'll only see more of it, so it'll be interesting to see how he handles these sort of baseless and apparently islamaphobic attacks.

Again good luck to him. Everyone believes ky is a red state but most of the time they have a democrat governor.  At some point soon a democrat with be a ky senator.  It doesn't mean it changes the mentality of the population in ky. In texas it's barely red so won't be a big deal. It just means we got to wall in Austin and push the California population to that walled off city.

Because the original talking point a day ago was if the other democratics with vote on him even if he doesn't respond to there values. I say yes because its a blue state, there is always a floor on both sides that would vote for a plant to not vote for the other side.

But if Talarico wins in Texas, which is a red state, then it might be his policies that influenced that?

Sudly people don't look at policy, in general most voters don't even know who there congressman are. Ask them and see for yourself.  The only shot he has is for Austin to carry him . Economic growth limits Paxton voter base but that won't carry Talarico to victory. Texas demands a fat evil white guy to represent them not some skinny young Mich McConnell looking dude. Its Texas, the state where thc gummies are a police shooting your ass offense.
