Jars, tubs, bags all work well for reishi. Maybe your culture or substrate has a problem, reishi is usually pretty aggressive and not too slow.

It got colonized very fast. I think the trich appeared later on when I sprayed water into the tub.

I feel like my lions mane is really yellow. I tried fanning it a few times a day, I spritz it twice a day with some water. Idk, it seems off :/

The pictures make it look not so bad, but in person it's pretty yellow/tan

Any way to save this?

I'm working on getting LC together next so I can do grow bags, but I was excited to get some lions mane so I threw it in an unmodified tub with HWFP and oat bran

Lion's mane likes a ton of air and humidity, and it doesn't love being directly misted. Fruiting from a small slit in a bag makes nicer round fruits compared to fruiting on a big surface.

Not sure you can do much but ride that one out. Keep it humid without too much direct misting, make sure it can get some air (open any holes you might have already made on the tub, or leave a gap in the lid, and have some air circulating around it).

You don't need LC to do bags. You can inoculate them with grain spawn.

I never got good results in a tub with lion's mane. I've seen decent pictures of wood-based jars fruited in a tub, but I think it requires a bit more humid air than I have inside. A humidified tent with like 6 full air exchanges per hour does a lot better.

Hello. I've got 2 jars of colonized grain with Pleurotus Pulmonarius - phoenix mushroom.
I'm planning to fruit them in some coffee grounds and straw.
what volume ratio of grounds/straw would you recommend? how much spawn per substrate?
Do they need a lot of fresh air and humidity? I only got a 40l tub without any active air exchange that I'm planning to put the grow bags in.

Hello, I tried growing pink oysters with saw dust pellet in a grow bag with an air filter. However, it has been 25 days since spawn to bulk and the mycelium has not fully colonized the substrate yet. I got this all in one grow kit and followed all the instructions but as you can see from the photos attached colonization has stalled or stopped maybe?

This is my first time growing mushrooms, any help would be appreciated.

That's almost assuredly sharing a living space with a competing mold. Did you S2B in front of a flow hood, or in a Still Air Box, and how did you inoculate? What's the temperature of your incubation environment? There's a lot of factors that could be at play, knowing some of this might help us narrow down the culprit.

Yall ever send an oyster sub outside and had it fruit? I gave my step bro a blue oyster bucket that did pretty poorly in his basement, so I'm wondering if he could try removing the intact sub from the bucket and super spawning outside and maybe get something when it cools off. He lives a good ways away, which is why I'm wondering about a hail mary and not just giving him another to try out.
