Hes got good messaging.

Kamala had good messaging at one point and got a 6 point bump but then turned away from it and continued down that track. She also didnt mention the genocide which didnt help.

Standing for something I think helps, but I wouldn't say trump won because of dems, or mamdani won because of Republicans, but that mamdami had and has good messaging.

Kamala didn't stand against trump strongly. The kinda coi approach is weak. Its fight fire with fire.

Being louder in a debate doesnt mean youre right. And being yelled at should take you off your point, and if someone dodges, hold their feet to the fire.

I guess I'm just staying that whoever wins, wins on what they bring to the table imo, not on what the other person alone didn't bring. Something like that.

I disagree. Mamdani was running away with the race long before the debates. All he had to do was not yell, "Death to Israel"

Affordability was the number 1 priority at the debates,and just about everywhere else.

Francesca Hong is all but guaranteed to win her primary for Wisconsin governor next week.

Donovan McKinney is neck and neck with beagle destroyer Shri Thanedar in MI-13. Latest polls have him within the margin of error. I’m hoping the massive popularity surge of Abdul in the statewide race against AIPAC stooge Haley Stevens will put Donovan in the Capitol.

Kai Newkirk ended up losing his race in AZ-04 to the incumbent by about 25 points.

Oliver Larkin in FL-25 is gaining ground on the incumbent “MAGA Democrat,” with some good media hits the past couple days including going on Fox News and calling Trump a pedophile. He’s also secured a bunch of endorsements in recent days, including the coveted Ms Rachel. Florida primaries are still a few weeks out, so some more DSA wins nationwide could give him so more momentum.

Cori Bush is still neck and neck with the AIPAC puppet that ousted her last cycle. This one will also be close.

The Michigan Senate primary has been all but decided. Although he isn’t a socialist or aligned with DSA, Abdul’s got similar values to the org. He’s up by 15-20 in the latest polls.


There have been some defeats, but it’s clear the base is moving gravitating towards the DSA and away from the do-nothing moderates. A recent poll from CNN has DSA with higher favorables than BOTH major parties.

A different CNN poll shows that one third of Democratic voters consider themselves democratic socialists. It should come as a surprise to no one that the establishment, which used to tell the left to fall in line and vote blue no matter who, is now telling socialists to form their own party. Fox News especially has been dedicating a significant amount of airtime to clutching their pearls over the takeover. The political establishment had it good when there was no actual opposition party, and now they’re shitting themselves in terror that there may actually be one.

But put it in perspective: MSN and CNN were euphoric when Trump announced his candidacy, he was 'good content' for them, and they thought he could easily be defeated because people would see 'how bad Trump is'. They broadcast him many times saying bad things about immigrants, rude comments about women and ignorant mistakes or lies.

But all the negative attention backfired, he was able to deflect all the criticism. In fact the criticism made him stronger. People didn't take it seriously anymore. It would have been more effective to just ignore him, then he might not have won.

Something similar will happen with the DSA. Just because the right-wing world talks about how it's going to be the end of the world, that doesn't mean most of the world takes it seriously. AOC has benefitted immensely from all the negative attention, for example, and Mamdani. Fox News will not make or break a liberal candidate. Whether they generate energy for the middle and the base will decide it.

Im gladly be culled. Usa doctors are told to put anyone over 30 on statin drugs if they might have a chance of heart attack of 2% over next two years. They know that statin drug lower the health and life expectancy by 15 years long term. They are culling to save money anyway. No public policy is ever given in a positive way that doesn't favor the state.  The government is never there to help you, its there to control you and oppress you. Universal healthcare would be no different.  You can't take a trillion dollars away from a system without enslavement.

There's plenty of brain drain from trumps cuts to scientific research and the state of the US healthcare system currently.

Compensation wise theres the potential for more hours, but also more baseline pay.

The term is "Reactionary", but my xgf used to call them alarmists, and I think that is an excellent description. Republicans are perpetually crying wolf, shouting from the roof tops... Now they are telling us, any day American will descend into Communism, when anyone with a highschool education and half a brain knows that is the most absurd thing a political "pundit" could possibly say, given the state of American politics for the past 60+ years.
