lol trump supporters would blame biden for trump sharting his pants , other solution is get a job with enough pay that you dont need to shop in a dollar store.

* to not be one sided and due to age i'll also add that biden may well have also sharted himself a few times when in office.

The products have always been smaller when name brand or just plain junk at these stores. It was never a good deal.

That these stores invaded towns and ran local grocers and shops out of business then jacked up their prices is the type of capitalism America loves.

Blaming Joe Biden is just the delicious retardation that only conservatives can come up with.

A dollar store only exists because cheap imports can land at a price that works at a dollar. It's the most import-exposed business in American retail, and the 2018 China tariffs hit those categories.

2017, a deficit financed tax cut into a booming economy. Result: a $984 billion deficit at full employment. Peacetime, no recession.

2018, trade war that Americans paid for. The Trump administration knew, because they cut $28 billion in bailout checks to farmers. You don't compensate the victims of a tax foreigners are paying.

2019, unemployment at 3.5% and Trump demands a full point of rate cuts, then asks for negative rates, then hauls his own Fed chair into the White House. The Fed cuts three times that year.

2020, $3 trillion in stimulus printing signed by him, while he fought for bigger checks with his name on them. Magicking money into existence through the Treasury, and through historically low interest rates, during a period that no one was actually producing anything in the economy is the most obvious way to stimulate inflation.

You can't grow the money supply by 25% in 2020, watch prices climb in mid 2021, and blame the admin sworn in that January. The causes of inflation have been obvious to anyone paying attention.

If inflation were an actual concern, you wouldn't turn a blind eye to all the deliberately inflationary policies the Trump admin has pushed in the last year and a half. They're purposefully debasing the dollar to get a currency reset, and have more or less said as much multiple times.

The poor.people.shop at the cheap shops instead local.shops out of necessity, the middle class shops at the cheap.shops cause they are cheap.or something, and then they close down and people say on the local Facebook group its a shame even though no one shopped at them

Nice summary 👍

To add to this, the sharp reduction in production during the first year of COVID coupled with the decrease in consumption created a whiplash once consumers ramped up purchasing in 2021.  Supply chains couldn’t keep up and we ended up with demand far outpacing production.

https://www.factcheck.org/2022/06/stimulus-spending-a-factor-but-far-from-whole-story-on-inflation/

Quote:
Edelberg said her reading of the data is that consumers “took that enormous fiscal support and while still not feeling comfortable with all of the face-to-face services, they focused their spending on goods,” a sector that “had already been pretty crippled by the extraordinary increase in goods spending throughout the pandemic.”

In some months, real — meaning inflation-adjusted — spending on goods was 15% above trend. “That’s crazy,” she said. “Even in the best of circumstances, our goods sector would not be able to keep up with that level of demand for that long.”

Agreed. This is also the reason 2021 saw an all-time high for gasoline, as oil refineries globally had reduced production to minimum (oil even hit $0 per barrel at one point), and needed to ramp up production when lockdowns ended.

What does it matter, you and those like you don't read? If you do read, even when the preponderance of the evidence demonstrates the truth, you don't believe it. You would prefer to take the word of the pants shitting, most documented liar in the history of the world. Those like vicepope get proven wrong and he just keeps going, never acknowledges his failures and continues on to the next lie. You guys do this, spewing lies with the confidence of someone declaring their favorite color, like it's unassailable even though you continually get shown wrong.

But just so you can have another loss notched for the people you can read and fairly evaluate, here it is.

Quote:
The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.

And the Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500, even though the Taliban continued to attack Afghan government forces and welcomed al-Qaeda terrorists into the Taliban leadership.

My prediction is you'll ignore it like all of you do when it conflicts with what your shit smelling pedophile savior tells you to believe.

Thats your reciept?  Read the whole thing, Biden botched it.  Here you all were claiming Trump did it, and your proof basically says it was Biden:lolsy:

Why did dumb dollar's prices go up lowbrow. You say it is Biden, so exactly what policy of his directly raised the prices and put them out of business?

Who knows which one, coulda been the keystone pipeline, or one of his other dumb policies.

My guess would be a mixture of all of his destructive policies.

Keystone XL never delivered a single drop of crude. So it has no bearing on oil prices positive or negative. Try again.

K, that leaves, "a mixture of his destructive policies" as your reasoning. Which is pretty vague for someone demanding receipts.

Your source explains that prices rose after January 2021. My post explains why. Notice yours never offers a cause, and its own debt-clock header now reads $39.8 trillion. By its own poor standards, who is responsible for the state of the inflation now, two years later?

You still failed to form a logical argument to explain why you think what you think, btw. I'm not entirely sure you even read the source you posted, it doesn't really answer why you think dollar tree's prices went up.

Dollar Tree's CEO has a couple ideas though:

https://www.thestreet.com/retail/dollar-tree-quietly-adds-more-higher-priced-items

Quote:
Mar 12, 2026

But during Dollar Tree’s most recent earnings call, Creedon stated, “Multi-price is a deliberate, long-term, data-driven strategy that began back in 2019 to make Dollar Tree more relevant, flexible, and profitable.”

Creedon also confirmed that without its higher price points, Dollar Tree would be limited to a less exciting range of inventory. Now, the company can offer “more relevant and attractively valued items.”

That’s propaganda.

I don’t know what they were trying to show with this graph but it ends in 2021 when Biden took office.  The big spike on the right side of the graph is from Trump’s first term.

If you dont consider your own government’s website as a legit, viable source of information, then what is not a propaganda media device?
