Ah, dang, Tao - that cake on the right is kickin! Congrats on your fruits!

So, before we all get too much further along, I’d like some feedback from any of the participants (anyone, really) about what we can do to make future Cake Wars better (other than my managing my own anxiety better). :smile: :lol: 

  • What went well
  • what could have gone better, and
  • what ideas for improvement might you have?


One idea that I had was to maybe turn the judging/decision into a  “people’s choice” style decision, similar to the voting system used for Grower’s Best Photo Contest (example ballot). Might not be a perfect fit for this event, but maybe worth considering?

Great job, all! 

Looking forward to seeing all the others who are still fighting even though victory has “officially” been declared…the artificial timelines of some do not make the strugle to produce cakes with fruits any less intense.  Onward to Victory or Glory!

It's an unnamed Copelandia from India.  The same species that strawboy won the photo contest with.

I buried it between coir and verm in my old maitake container.  Perlite on the bottom for drainage.  Clover, grass seed, and azo bacteria for cover.

Similar to yoshi's trashcan tek.






I will go back and add the photos to my original post in this thread for posterity.
