Today I sent the last of my jars to bulk. I've got two tubs of Yeti cooking and an outdoor patch of wild Australian landrace, just for fun.

I have more medicine than I could use in 5 years although I do have friends and loved ones to whom I'm able to gift it. I'm going to slow down on actives cultivation for a little bit and focus on Lion's mane, maybe reishi and some other gourmet varieties.

Toward the end of the summer/fall I think I'm going to start looking at some exotic grows like semper Viva.

Just wanted to pop in and let you know why I've been so quiet on the forums. Still lurking day-to-day and love and respect you all.

I have a confession.

There's this big ugly orange cat that hangs out in my backyard. I'm not a very big fan of people that let their cats wander around outside killing all the birds.
Well I have some fish in my pond so I've become particularly interested in keeping the cat away.
I haven't been in the best mood today and when I saw the cat sitting on the rock waiting for the fish to come out I turned the hose on it.
I confess I don't feel bad at all for the cat it went back home wet and it gets to groom itself for probably an hour.
Maybe it won't come back it probably will but I think that that's gonna be a practice I use until it stops hanging around my pond.

I read back over all the pages that led me here.
It's important that we all move forward because there's always gonna be more opportunities. We need to be excited about that. I recently saw a movie that I never thought was possible to get made. The backrooms was great.

There's always gonna be new experiences and more chances to meet people and grow as people. So it's important not to let ourselves get stuck in a particularly tough part of our lives because that's formative and it helps you grow as a person it's not something that defines you.

Hey all. I confess that several things with letters went loopy and I don't feel like sending out stuff for a bit. A while back a letter was intercepted. The last people I sent stuff to never reported back (which isn't a weird thing in itself) and it got under my skin.

Another confession: all the AI bogus that's being spouted on here really gets on my nerves too.

Hope everyone is well, even saw Tree post which is awesome.
We had a great time in France, wife gave a sick show, had a great party. And of course I swam in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, and a few different rivers.

Keep being awesome everyone, I'm back to the kiddie pool, shit here is scorching. Been experiencing 27 - 37*C for two weeks now.

Dude. Spraying an animal isn't offensive. Frankly it's a good way of helping them remember they actually don't want to be on your property, and im sure the water while shocking did not hurt. We have neighborhood cats and they decimate the rabbit population. Really egregious.  Always relaxing to hear another young bunny squealing on a quiet afternoon until it bleeds out in the cat's jaws.

idk the cat is just doing what it was meant to do, and the rabbits and fish were meant to be prey to the cat. even if we didn't want them to be they are prey.

natural order vs human input I guess I'm sure someone smarter than us has thought about it for a long time

I would have sprayed him just to remind him he has a home and its rough out here, go on and find some other fish little kitty lol

The cat isn't supposed to exist if you really want to get into it. It was selectively breaded by humans as pets. They have an insatiable bloodlust and they will kill for fun. If everyone let all of their cats out all the time birds would be extinct.

People need to take more responsibility. If every person who owned a dog just let their dog shit wherever they wanted and didn't clean it up. Everyone will be stepping in shit every day.

Humans intervened in wildcats evolution by making them smaller and more lethal. We bred a very large quantity of them I think the least we can do is to keep them from decimating the rest of the birds and other small animals. We made the cats we should take responsibility for it.

Wolves are a far cry from a dog. That is not just nature as it is intended that's nature the way humans wanted it to be.

Nature as it was supposed to be would be wildcats existing and wolves still being present on the continent instead of all being exterminated by farmers.

Humans don't "intervene" with nature, humans are inextricably intertwined with nature.

You don't get to decide what nature is "supposed" to be.

Was that part of nature?
If people made a species of animal that didn't exist before it's not asking a whole lot for people to take responsibility for it.

I think we should still have birds in this world instead of letting lazy pet owners have them all killed.

But it is very in line with human nature to make a huge mess, have zero sense of responsibility for it. Then let the devastation continue without anybody caring.
