Bluey Vuitton (Albino?)

First time growing Bluey Vuitton, labeled as Albino on LC.
Questions:
Are they albino?
Is this typical
of BV flush? Big thick fruits but not many.
Also, when I researched ABV, I read that they colonise fast and grow quickly? The mycelium grew fast and strong on popcorn, but took a couple of weeks to fully colonise in the tub, and another couple of weeks to fruit. For me, it has been a lot slower process than PE, and far less yield.
Is this typical? Any advice?

They have pigment so not albino. Never grown them so I have no advice, but looking nice

Not albino. Probably just the regular BV. They look like BV to me.

I’ve grown them and my experience was similar to yours. Fast to colonize grain. Spawned to bulk and they took forever to pin. When they finally appeared, my fruits looked pretty much just like yours, but they had more bluing when cut. Big, dense, heavy fruits, though. Mine also were pretty potent little bastards, probably slightly higher than PE. Lovely trip, pretty clean feeling for a cube. I think I yielded about an ounce on 600ml of spawn in a shoebox. It’s a cool cube. Definitely don’t grow them if you’re in a hurry, obviously.

Good to know, I was thinking I had weak genetics or something. This shoebox also had about 600ml of spawn, I ended up with 16g dried.
How did you go with subsequent flushes? The myc still looks so solid, it was hard to rehydrate, I’m not even sure if I have! As the water pooled on the top of the thick myc.
It was absorbed by the time I got home from work, so I heavy misted again. I’d appreciate any advice.

No problem. I remember finding BV to flush kind of weird. The mushrooms were all in different stages of development at the same time. So, I just harvested the fruits as they were ready, kind of like one long continuous flush. So when I say an ounce (28g), that was all I got total from the shoebox. I did bottom water the shoebox, probably misted once in a while.

My guess is that since this was originally a cross, it probably was released before whomever “stabilized” it completely. Or maybe it’s just that the fruits get so dense and heavy they soak up a lot of water, leaving less for some of the smaller mushrooms in the substrate to draw from. This is all based on a hunch though, so I’m probably just full of shit. Lol.

I just got a different BV culture from a buddy of mine on here, which I believe was albino. I’m going to give that a whirl in the coming months. Definitely curious if it runs better than its non-albino brother.
