This thread will serve as a multi user growalong for multiple members including myself for a wild landrace cube I received from Queensland Australia


The participants are welcome to post their progress here as will I as soon as I get started on the project. After we have successfully grown out these prints I hope we can all be fruitful and share them about to anyone interested in wild landrace genetics.


This is the source of these prints and I would like to thank Peter_Lustig for being generous enough to provide the genetics. Also I would like to thank everyone that decided to help on this project that I sent prints to.

Please update with your progress as you see fit and so will I as soon as I can. Life is kind of crazy so it may be a few days before I am able to get these on agar. Anyone feel free to kick off the thread.

Mine arrived today, and I streaked a couple of plates. Here goes!



Sorry for the crappy pic. Much easier once stuff is growing.

Went out of town before taking transfers... Here they are now:



Took transfers from both and decided to make a jar from a little wedge from the second plate. YOLO (and I need to catch up) :lol: - but it actually looked pretty clean toward the edges.

I'm glad to see so many people interested. I am kind of an amateur yet but hopefully I can get something viable off of my pastys. I hope everyone enjoys the project and when its all done all prints that are sent back to me will go straight to a giveaway. This is optional but if you decide to print them and want to be a part of it just send them to me and I will make sure they all find a home and send them out in the marketplace and when I say every print I mean it so the more I get the more I'll send out. Thanks

I haven't been hunting in the uk, so i can't really compare. It probably involves a lot more sweating. At least cubes are easy to spot in between the grass and weeds

Nevertheless, it's really one of lifes great pleasures to just wander and look for mushrooms- no matter the location.

Looks like you got more germination on the surface. I took my inoculation loop and stabbed it into my agar with spores on it. Might do some more soon if they haven't shown anything by tomorrow.
