Yeti second flush question? * 1

Hey guys ☺️ Just a quick question on this Yeti mono tub. Second flush is coming in, and so far I just did a heavy mist after the first flush and it's doing well. Question is should it be good to just leave it alone until they finish this flush, or will I need to mist again before dunking for third flush? TIA🍄❤️

Nice job, looking good!  Did you dunk after first flush?
If not, it will almost certainly need more misting by the time those fruits have matured, but you will just have to keep an eye on it to know for sure. For me, the surface conditions are never really the same after that first flush.

Thanks man☺️ So far it's my new favorite strain after tasting some of the first batch lol
And yeah I didn't dunk yet after the first flush, not quite sure how to tell if it needs more hydration or if the cake has enough moisture, as it's only my second time getting a monotub to a good second flush and hopefully first time third😊

Oh if it helps first flush was about an oz dry, and I heavy misted after harvest, then light misted  every 12 hours or so since, until I seen the second flush starting.

The coir will get lighter brown color as it dries.  The sub will also continue to shrink.  That much misting probably gave it healthy dose of water though.  Maybe just kick back and see how it looks later or tomorrow.

Thanks man I really appreciate the extra pair of eyes🍄❤️ will definitely repost a pic tomorrow or possibly tonight when I give it a quick look.
From the tub walls and everything it looks like it's holding the humidity well.
Oh and forgot those spots of fresh coir is just where I covered exposed grain. Since it already had lots of new pin-sets coming in after I harvested the first flush, that's the main reason I didn't dunk yet. Definitely gonna dunk it after this flush tho.

Yep :thumbup: Looking pretty damn good.

You can also “bottom water” if it becomes necessary to add a bit more than misting provides.  Pouring a little water between the liner and the substrate provides hydration without disturbing the top surface. 

I don’t always “dunk” to where the whole substrate is submerged.  I also don’t use liners, so that probably makes it easier for me to get water underneath when the time comes.

Ok sweet thanks for the side watering tip👌🏽 That'll make it so I don't have to disturb it too much on the third flush. Altho tbh I was thinking of also scraping the surface with an iso sanitized fork and misting after rehydrating for the third flush cus I heard it'll give a better pinset by creating a new surface .Kinda nervous and excited at the same time lol. It's been about a month now since spawning, so longest I've had a cake sitting out fruiting and still looking this healthy😊🍄❤️

I have “punished” subs a few times.  Beef has a great tek on that too.
I haven’t forked, but I have brushed away most of the top surface with clean hands under running water..
