2nd flush question

I have a B+ in straw right now and I'm going for the 2nd flush. I've soaked it in spring water over night in the fridge and now I'm ready to see if I can get some more out of this, one question there are some aborts and shrooms that grew underneath the case (clear case) and I don't want to disturb the casing but do I need to remove these? Will these cause rotting?
What should I do?

I would remove them if possible why waste the mushrooms and take a chance my friend had that problem once and he regreted not [plucking them out.

That's the downside of a clear case, lets light in the sides/bottom with potential pinning there. Best to remove them due to the possibility of rotting, but this could mean removing the casing from its container (ease of doing this decreases with casing size) and treating it like a cake, or try to move the casing to an opaque container, removing the shrooms on the bottom/sides when you switch it. The other possibility is to keep strong watch on them, and if they start to look funky, THEN take them out. The aborts are the worst worry in terms of rotting.
