A friend of a friend is ready to harvest a couple of cakes very soon. He has a question about multiple flushes. After the first flush has been and gone what should he do to get more little guys off that cake? He understands that he should be able to easly get 3 flushes per cake but he has no idea how. Do they just pop up? If they dont what can he do? Should he dunk inbetween flushes? Thank-You from my friends friend.

>Do they just pop up? Yes. >Should he dunk inbetween flushes? He could. 12 hours dunking between the flushes(may improove yields. I would dunk after the 2nd lush though, after the 1st the cake still usually has enough water.

Just tell your friend to tell his friend that the 2nd and 3rd and 4th (depending on strain) flush will come as long as the cake remains healthy. By healthy i mean not too dry no mold and what not. He should be enjoying his second flush anywhere from 7-10 days after the previous. Happy shrooming!

How about that straw tek would this be good for managing a steady water level in the cake. Any tips for him to keep his cakes "healthy"? Personally I would suggest little handeling, be easy when picking the mushrooms etc. Thank-You very much for speedy answers.
