Yeah, I didn't think it was very clear in that photo. And the other one he saw I'm pretty sure was refraction.

I'll set aside a mature cap that wasn't printed and see about taking a look at it next week when I'm up near my buddy again. I really should invest in my own scope.

Probably the last photo update from this grow.  If I manage to get it sequenced I will update again then.

Still fruiting in the high 60s to low 70s.





Very nice cords in the nurient rich substrate.

So here are some pictures of the original collection, I’m not sure where the Peace River comparison originated, I never said that. I don’t think I ever posted any pics of these before, as I didn’t think they were the best photos although I took a shit ton, none of them seemed very good to me.

I had spoken with somebody who saw your pictures and they just compared it to some Peace River that they grew.

And thanks for sharing all of the photos!  I will pass this along to the genetics guy and see if he's willing to do some sequencing.

Also, I am planning to run some of these outside. So I will update this thread with some outdoor grow pictures too here in a couple of months hopefully.

I would call the original collection Panaeolus cinctulus...
And like many times before the artificial grow looks like a completely different species.

I thought they were Panaeolus cinctulus at first but then they consistently turned blue, even a lot of the caps have blue on them, which was really difficult to get to show up on camera for some reason. You can see it on a couple of the pictures, I am glad the bluing is showing up so well on Tree Frog’s grow pics.

I kind of wonder if it's a mixed collection, like maybe some are cinctulis.

But yeah, they bruise really dark.  Was the first indication we got that they weren't cinctulis or olivaceous, and then the microscopy confirmed the section (cyanascens).

I'm curious how they'll look outside. And in other folks grows.

I have a microscope coming and will take another look at the basidia from some fruits that didn't drop spores.  I didn't get a camera mount, but I think I have a pretty good idea what I'm looking for now.

You can hold up any digital camera or cell phone camera to the eyepiece for an acceptable picture. It depends on how steady your hands are, but it can be done.

I got a camera mount, but the microscope was used, and I didn't realize it didn't have the oculars.  So I'm still waiting, lol.  Nice scope though, american optical 110 :smile:

Anyway, I bioassayed 0.44g today.  I drank half and then the second half about an hour later.  The tea was really blue, so I got intimidated and split the dose.

Potency seemed on par to others in the section.  Kinda hard to judge alkaloid profile with how I split the dose, but I think it is a bisporus or very closely related.

Typically, my ego gets a hold of other mushrooms and tells me stories.  The colville strain helps me to see my ego more clearly and be softer toward it.  This definitely had that vibe and maybe some faint traces of bisporus similar visuals once the second half of the dose kicked in.  But, I was in my feelings about some things and was mostly working through them with my partner, so it didn't go very deep.

That said, I also went in with the notion that it could be bispo.  So, I set my intentions in that direction.  Trying to stay centered in my heart like I learned to do while on them.

Either way, looking forward to exploring them more and sharing some microscopy photos once I get that sorted.

Nah I'm still figuring out my scope and waiting on the original sample.

And I doubt we'll see sequence confirmation anytime soon.

But, I did send out a bunch of prints and hopefully we will get some more indoor grow pictures soon anyway.

Also doing an outdoor bed so if that works out the way I hope we'll have some outdoor photos too.
