Re: Official Copelandia/Panaeolus Thread [Re: ParanoidGuy]

I think I have noticed that my pan subs stink more compared to the clean earthy smell of cubes or the slightly melon smell of subtrops and tamps. At first I attributed it to the hpoo subs. But I have run the others on hpoo in a pinch and the pans always smelled noticeably worse.

Anyone else get that?

I've heard that a few times from folks.

I'm in a minority and to me, they smell like gourmets.  Cyans especially (ttbvi anyway, haven't grown enough other strains to judge).  EniQma I believe had the same experience

They legit get me hungry.  And I was harvesting them when I realized I wanted to get serious about edibles again.

Cubes smell horrible to me.  Cube myc is good, but the actual fruiting body makes me gag.  I also puked on cubes a lot when I first grew them a decade ago, so that's probably a large part of it.

Wazzup homies Im back.
Bisporus: impressive how chill and low body load these are. I thought getting overstimulated was just mushrooms. Not these. Very auditive. Broke some bad spells during the trip that were weighing me down a bit. Visuals also different. Was seeing geometry in darkish neon lines. Id say these and cyans are by far the kings of actives. And also on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of most things I can think of.

Well said, Bingling (beautiful big specimens too!)

"Geometry in darkish neon lines" makes an awful lot of sense with Bisporus. Can't wait to do a proper dose again myself!

On the topic of smell, should pasteurized hpoo substrate have a smell to it? The batch I made (my first don't crucify me for being a noob) had an interesting funky smell. Not sour like bacteria but a weird sweet barn animal smell. Idk if this is bad, pasteurized for like 2-3 hours at 140-150f not ever getting higher than that.

I agree that's a beautiful description.

The most auditory psychedelic I've ever taken, and the visuals are way different than any other mushroom I've eaten.

Love the low and slow vibration.

I'd say more but it gets a bit woowoo from here.  I guess I think of bisporus as a guide and a teacher, and will leave it at that.

Also, I agree on the polar ends with bispo and cyans.  And will add that in my limited experience, mystery sa is in the middle.

We'll see about chlorocystis.  Another close relative of bisporus and mystery.  Grains are finishing up now and it doesn't sound overly difficult to fruit

Now I know that I need to try some bisporus, I love auditory effects from psychedelics.

I love the woo woo stuff so u can DM me.
In the month ive self banned I got a bunch of really pretty flushes. Feel compelled to share

The slow vibration you mentioned got me sooo surprised, I did not think mushrooms can be like this.
They also kept me grounded. With my cyans on new years I got massive low on the comeup and a massive high later combined with like massive ego pumping.
Aka seeing myself as a this and that big shot in the future. Which was honestly nice, since it was combined with boundless happiness and excitement for life.
But I like that the bisporus kept it realistic in a sense and got me focused on the natural oncoming steps in life.
Anyhow I see myself doing these only soon enough.
When and if I settle down again in a place I feel comfy Id like to do a giveaway of my Bingus TTBVI cyans.
They changed character a lot since I first grew them by imbreeding most likely and maybe even gene intermixing with PE. Anyhow theyre a different thing now and would love to share something that I feel genuinely has my touch to it.
Rambling again 😅 peace ✌️

In my experience, what other psychedelics do with vision, and our direct understanding of our eye consciousness, bisporus seems to do with auditory perception.

Which I find really interesting, especially considering how much of my personal narratives and speech patterns are rooted there.

The visuals are nice too. They are quite a bit different though.  At least for me.

Dreamlike at times.  Shimmering bio luminescent others.  UV spectrum of rainbows.  Cyans are more red and orange.

Dreams of butterflies vs visions of serpents.  Night sky and earth chakras.  Serpents speak to me in feelings and visions.  Butterflies in whispers.

The frog rests in the middle and gives thanks to the little ones, when she remembers to anyway.  Other days she shakes them without thought, but they forgive her.

So, there's the woowoo.  Played a lot of RPGs as a kid, so have read a lot of myths and have a lot of interest in the symbolism our species inherited.  I've also read a lot of ancient anthropology and stuff along those lines about pre-hellenic history.

Taught myself to sort of cloud watch on mushrooms, and allow my personal mythology to communicate with me essentially.  Bispo helps me listen in too

They're interesting to mix also.  Half a dose of cyans/bispo is a lot more grounded and had amazing oevs.  Because I was calm I could lazily twirl 3d visuals with my foot.

I was pretty stoned I have to admit. And now I'm rambling cuz I'm stoned on weed lol

Edit:  oh, and bisporus is very direct. Like I can see and kind of feel their presence. In a way I can't quite get with other mushrooms.  That's kind of the woohoo thing. Like I feel like they really show up. As a very distinct separate I am here. You are there.

It feels more like a teaching relationship than like a temporary symbiosis. Ayahuasca will do that to me too. But not always. And I think that's more my relationship with the MAOI than it is with the DMT.

I appreciate your rambling! The cloud watching is now on my bucket list. The auditory stuff I got personally was weird. On the comeup I was getting a whole bunch of typical repetitive robotic noises like sirens and a lot of other stuff I cannot pin point now. The setting i did them in was very weird in itself anyhow so I look forward to do over 2g (1,6 last time) somewhere nice. Even outside which for now in scandinavia was a no no.
My cyans got me seeing yellow greenish. I have the original print of the ttbvi so it would be fun to share both the original culture and the one I manipulated to see if others sense the huge difference as well.
Shutting up before self banning again 😝🤐

Probably?  My tent ran between 68 and 72 on cold days during my last grow.

A lot of folks struggle with the casing on them.  Or at least, that seems to be the main variable that is different from how I grow them when people ask my opinion on what they're doing differently.  Mono tub grows may do better too.  As they seem to like higher co2 during pin formation than cyans.

I'm putting together a detail oriented casing pictorial.  The main take away is light and fluffy, sprinkle it on, don't compress.  Be sure your pH is in range.

Top dressing with compost and coir and adding grass seed works too though.  It's a bit of a hassle to harvest, and they don't quite canopy, but the fruit bodies look happy.

This was a second flush.

Never did it again after that first time.

Interesting, the most extreme auditory hallucinations I’ve had was on pharmauasca. Severe time dilation, tried listening to music and everything sounded sped up really fast, and a distorted sound to it, even when my wife would speak it sounded like she was talking really fast.

Wasn’t until days later after reading about it that I found out that harmaline/harmine can cause those effects.
