Mozzarella sticks are about 90% meh. Why? Because most ov the places you get them at, as an appetizer, will be made from the same bargain basement company, Big C. Many places have great food. Many places buy quality products. But what place is known for their world renowned mozzarella sticks? It's a tough market out there in the restaurant world right now. Restaurants and pizza shops have their reputation to uphold so they splurge on quality ingredients.... to make the core products they're known for. This costs a lot ov money and so compromises must be made elsewhere to stay afloat and, goddess forbid, make a profit. What's the very first thing restaurants cheap out on when the profits just are'nt there? Frozen appetizers, especially mozzarella sticks. Places with homemade food and such won't even have them on the menu. Those who carry mozzarella sticks are'nt going to splurge on quality when a box ov Big C is half the price.

The customer is'nt going to have a 'make or break' opinion ov a place over an order ov fucking mozzarella sticks. They're almost always an add-on item and when they're not, the person ordering them alone is likely doing such for nostalgia's sake and the type they admired as a youngster is likely the same cheap shit that you find everywhere now anyway. Tons ov people have basic tastes and they're good enough for those people. For other people... you're eating the same Big C mediocrity at 90% ov the places that have it, regardless to the price and quality ov the rest ov their food , and you would have been better served by ordering something that has the potential ov being interesting in taste instead ov remembering what you loved as a 7 year old.
