Been about 21 days, still nothing happening (bag)

So about 3 weeks ago i received my shroombag from shamanshop.net( http://www.shamanshop.net/store/proddeta.../490.0/file.htm ). I sterilized the needle and the injector site, and injected about 4cc of B+. The only thing different since then is, that it seems like it has been forming some wet spots. Some places are darker than others. I keep the bag in dark place in my room, where it is also a little over the average room temp. Today I broke the big grain cluster up, and loosened it up a bit.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks guys.

Prime colonization temp is 82 F.

Is that not the fungifuel enviro bag? Looks identical but 10$ more....shamanshop.net ripping people off. http://www.fungifuel.com/ has the same bag 10 bucks cheaper!

grains and mycobags respond slowly to multispore injections IME
this coupled with the fact that it is below optimum temp
is where yr problem is coming from

alright, i put the bag where it is a lot warmer.

Is it ok for the bag to sweat? There are drops of water on the inside of the bag.

So after 21 days there is no sign of mycelium growth at all? About what temp was it? Can you smell an odor from it?

Yes, sniff the patch for odor. If it smells like anything but dirt, it is contaminated.

If no odor, inject the bags again.

Be sure to inject between the plastic and the substrate... not the middle of the substrate... and mash your bags after injection mash the substrate until it feels like potting soil.

Do a search on mashing bags.

do you think that might be my problem, because i injected the spores right into the substrate and i didn't mash it after injection.

the temp is high 80s low 90s.

What about the water drops on the inside of the bag?

Room temp is fine, mid 80's or less is best. Better to be too cool than too hot.

Yes, if you inject the middle of the substrate, the spores tend to stall.

That, and injecting by the plastic allows the fluid to cover more surface space... helping colonization. You will see colonization faster this way as well, cause it won't be in the middle of the substrate.
