Given a vote I'd vote for...
This was a good morning read. I'd just say go ahead and do what seems smart.

Hate to revive this thread, but still waiting. Any thoughts?

Feel like eventually it’s just gonna turn to shit, but no worries, I got a lot of other stuff coming up.

Probably is, but if you have the space and don't have anything waiting on the tub, why not just let it ride?

I don’t have a problem riding it out, not in any rush, but I thought it would have produced by now. That’s all. Waiting is not a problem for me, just don’t want to waste time when there’s no hope. I eventually learned that from the first marriage.

Can you turn on the flash and get a pic from closer to sub level so we can see what the moisture levels look like on the surface? It *might* be a hair on the dry side but better pics would help determine that.
It looks like knots are forming, so try to LITFA as much as possible.
I've got some varieties that will have the first flush harvested and dried in 10 days and some that take 3+ weeks to start showing pins. Don't worry about how long it takes as long as the spawn was clean and the surface conditions are good they will fruit.

Sure,

[url=https://files.shroomery.org/files/24-20/606912001-IMG_7426.jpg] [/url
So what I’ve noticed is one of those blobs has brown on it, which I hear is metabolites from lack of fae. I did add 2 new holes about a week ago for this reason. I also am starting to see a greenish hue in one of the blobs, which just showed up recently, and not surprised that eventually a contamination would come in since it’s been in this tub almost 2 months now.
I did some light misting of the sub when the beads dried up, maybe once or twice a week. There’s still humidity clinging to the walls of the tub. I dunno.

Yikes I didn't realize it's been 2 months...thats kinda crazy long IMO. It looks stalled out to me. Could be lots of reasons, but I saw no mention of how you got to this point so
Compare your surface conditions to these and mist/adjust fae as needed.

Well, “almost” 2 months lol.
4-6 went to bulk, first pic in the thread is from 5-7 I believe, which most people said litfa, which I assumed was right, that’s what I initially thought but I don’t trust myself.
Golden teacher Lc to agar, couple transfers to clean it up, agar to oat, then 1-4 spawn to sub, sub is just coir. Top layer of coir.
Every step along the way has taken longer than I expected, which I attributed to being in Colorado during the winter, but I don’t know.
I’ve had a couple failures that I assume I know what the cause was, i.e started with aio bag before I found the shroomery lc straight in *obvi fail , bought grain bag before I had pc *obvi fail. Clean spawn, coir and unmodded tub *fail.
This one I felt good about, clean spawn, pasty’s tub. Beefy ratio.

I don’t want to blame genetics, but I did order a different strain from a different vendor and everything about it has been going smoother/faster so that’s also a possibility. I guess I’ll know soon enough, I got 2 more golden teacher tubs running, and almost ready to make 2 more tubs of yeti.
Or, possibly im really bad at this.

Cold temps could definitely be an issue - anything below 60f slows down alot. If thats the case, just be patient.

It never got that low in the room I’m growing, lowest it’d get was 68, but I assumed that’s why it was slow.
I got all the patience in the world, I just don’t want to continue the grow if it’s a waste of time. Honestly I don’t really even care if it’s a waste of time if I learn from it. I’ve never even tried mushrooms, I don’t care how long it takes lol.

Substrate is coir to field capacity. 1-4 ratio beefy tub style
Yes I noticed those sections, just started given the brown look a week or 2 ago, when I started thinking it needed more fae

without seeing your lc, colonized grain, plates etc, its impossible to rule out where contams might be coming from. if it was related to surface conditions, which i doubt, u would still be fruiting something by now, despite the 1:4 ratio. skinny deformed fruits perhaps but fruits nonetheless.
i asked about substrate bc i had been getting contams and poor fruiting tubs until i dialed back my water content big time. for reference im currently using 650g coir, 200g verm and 3200g water. ive used even less water with success but had to mist it like a biznatch.
havnt had trich or weird splotchy bacterial subs like yours since...

not saying this is ur problem but, an easy thing to try so u dont pull ur hair out like i did for months, tossing tub after tub like a big dum dum

I did not take pictures of the spawn for these ones, I have posted pics of other spawn in the past though, which people have said were questionable, learned from those and got better. And my first attempt did get trich, but I assume that was because I had my coir to wet and was running an unmodded tub. But the spawn I used for this tub was clean. Clean enough that I didn’t think to take a picture
Specifically on the coir ratio to water, it was 800g coir and 3200 g water bucket tech, when I mixed it the next day it was still a little dry so I added a couple splashes til it barely dripped when I squeezed it.
I have some plates of the culture that was used growing now on agar, I could post a couple of those pics if you’d like.
