Torn between modded vs unmodded tub for set and forget

I'm about to start the busy time of the year for my work (think.. 16 hours a day, eat, shower, shave at work... sometimes sleep )
I've had a couple successful grows between pf tek and some tubs in a mylar tent but, I need to do something that is essentially set and forget. All the posts in the forums go back and forth between modded and unmodded tubs.
So with my busy schedule, what's best? Modded or unmodded in terms of least daily care required

Modded tubs, dialed in for your environment, can be truly set and forget. It’s the dialing in that takes a little time. Unmodded work pretty well for some without the time or hassle of modding and dialing in. For me unmodded did require a daily check in and maybe a mist now and then. How much are you wanting to grow? I find shoeboxes the simplest, and frequently don’t touch them until first flush. If you need bigger tubs, I like Pasty’s design:

Just my 2 cents. Start with unmodded... do a run with that. Make sure to check the surface conditions as you go and adjust as needed. Plus too, if Unmodded isn’t exactly working.... you can always mod it. Can’t start with modded and go back, unless you buy another tub. Just my opinion

For monos I always did the standard (hehe) hole pattern. Two holes on each long side a bit above the sub, one hole up high on each short side.
For shoe boxes I like the latching sterilite 6-7qt and I just leave the lids unlatched once I see knots.
I’ve never used unmodded bigger tubs so I can’t testify to them but any of these will work, you just have to dial it in to your grow spot.
Once you’ve got plenty of myc coming through the top layer you’ll start seeing the droplets, then whenever you come home just check them out, If they’re still there you’re probably good, unless the myc starts stretching out and looking funny and pins aren’t showing up and you think it needs more fae, then loosen the poly or adjust The lid gap. If the top layer starts drying out during colonization then you’ll know to tighten the poly or lid.
It’s mostly something you just have to do and see

I've got a bunch of shoeboxes and 20qt sterilite tubs that have a pretty good height.
