Kast, thanks alot for the info!! It pleases me to find this out! My next project will be to mix horse dung and wheat straw. Then, pasturize or sterilize of course. I will probably innoculate it with colonized jars of rye (made from a petre dish of myclieum). I'll get some pics out of that in a few weeks

Thanks Tom! Some friends of the family are in agriculture. They grow organic wheat (among other things). I am going to try to get some fresh wheat straw from them. I'll let y'all know how I do. Perhaps I can spread the wealth... I'll of course, have to make up some bogus reason for needing it...lol

Thanks for the info. Maybe The straw will require some drying before use. I'm not even sure if I can lays hands on it this time of year. When I find out, I'll let ya know..
