I don't have LC and don't use mss. I only have swabs and prints.

IDK where you are maybe its not easy to obtain. You can't order a spore syringe or prints or swabs online? If your frustrated about time and money wasted, why not invest a little more and try something different? Pf tek is recommended to beginners because its more fool proof. But keep doing agar because that's better in the long term.

Sorry I don't mean to detract from the agar discussion. You seem frustrated is all.

Regarding your last photo, it's too soon to tell.

haha ya i was just being a cry baby. I figured if agar is the end goal why not just start with agar? plus my first run with mss from a trusted vendor was straight bacteria so I'll never use mss again...

You are right about starting with agar, it's not meant to be used only by experienced cultivator.
Agar will give you the ability to clean bad MSS and to test LC.
You can clone healthy mycelium from grain to agar and when you get your first fruit it's very rewarding to clone them agar and perpetuate a lineage that give you the joy of a successful growth.

Also if you have spore prints you can make your own MSS (probably more clean than some you can order from the web) and with that syringe you ll be able to give PF tek a try.
My first success was with PF tek after being frustrated with numerous grain spawn failure.

You could look at the bottle tek from mudafuka (Rip wonderful contributor to this community :bow2:) it's a good tek Imo for newbies and experienced grower.

Well boys and girls if we didn’t have problems before I think we do now. Checked my t1 ghost plate and now small black dots have appeared seemingly overnight… what do we think about it? Just seems weird that it took this long to show up. Also only visible with backlighting.

not yet got like 8 more plates of 10g agar, 10g lme, 400ml water. what do you recommend?

For 400 ml of water I personally use 8g agar, 6g nute, and 1g yeast.

Switch up and transfer your growth to a few recipes to see how it changes.

It's looking uniform enough to make me think it's clean but just needs a different recipe.

Assumption on my part but it's all worth a try.
