Well Bleach water works well on mold aready growing. HEPA air filters help suck them out of the air. UV lights (special kind) can steralize spores making them unable to reproduce or spawn.
The UV lights are hazzardous if you do not use them properly, as them can render you sterile (or most likely with skin cancer) if not careful

get a spray bottle and fill it with a 25% commercial Clorox to 75% water. Spray everything green (mold) or black (I hope you don't have black mold!) and scrub! You may have to spray a few times. Keep it well ventilated and don't let anything keep a foothold (sporehold).
I got rid of some mold this way. It has worked so far.

Ozonators are good for fighting mold but use them sparingly. They don't do well on humans. Also, keep a can of Lysol handy. With mold in your home you have to be extra anal about sterility.

Fill one spray mist bottle with white vinegar.
Fill another with 3% peroxide.
Spray one on (whatever).
It doesn't matter which first.
Let it soak in a few seconds.
Then, spray the other on on & let it soak in a few seconds.
Then, wipe dry with a clean cloth.
That combo will kill mold spores, HIV & salmonella.

Is this for in the environment or on agar? Perhaps both?

Agar suggested white vinegar. White vinegar works best to kill and remove mold, as stated. I've never followed it up with peroxide, but it sounds like they know. But I know vinegar and friction work better than bleach inside my log and adobe house.

Just spray full strength vinegar onto the sample?

Oh, no. I thought your original question was about cleaning environmental mold. I think that's what the answers were geared toward. There's no killing mold in a culture or spawn without killing the mushroom mycelium. This is where agar comes in. You should transfer suspected good samples (tiny) away from suspected contamination to a new agar plate. If the suspected mold is enmeshed with the culture or has color (sporulating) then don't even try as you will be taking those mold spores to the new plate.
