I think rxb was hypothesizing that trump might be asked improper questions for the purpose of forcing an error that can be exploited on appeal.  I could be wrong, though.  I don't really claim to understand that post at all, despite being a top trial attorney.  He's just too far above us mere mortals.

aparently... although i dont think this is such a complicated hypothesis.

if trump is testifying, lines of questions will likely be asked that lead him to purger himself... not so much about his opinions which i said casually(because this isnt court and none of us are lawyers), but by asking direct questions that he would be forced to either tell the truth (by which he would be publicly contradicting his earlier lies) ... or by lying on the stand.

one such potential topic would be his knowledge about when and how he knew he lost the election....

its really not complicated.

The guy makes ridiculous posts and then when someone tries to decipher his nonsense he responds with "nope" and "try again".  Then he finally gives a convoluted explanation that may or may not even be possible.  What else do you call that?

You're talking in generalities.  Do you have a specific question in mind that you think has the potential to lead Trump to perjure himself?  If he's asked about the information he received about the election, that's not going to be perjury, even if that information is wholly false.

Tell me, Mr. Cochran...how would YOU corner him into perjury?

yeah i felt that was pretty clear as this is a casual conversation in a drug forum where none of us are lawyers. its very general... thats all i said... you made it complicated and weird.

Oh, so in other words, you don't know if any of this is feasible at all, and you're talking out of your ass...got it.

I, on the other hand, am talking as a person who has cross-examined hundreds of witnesses.  I'm sure I could get Trump to lie on the stand, but I don't see how asking about what other people told him is going to give me anything close to perjury.

Why do I need you to believe it?  You made the claim that someone could induce perjury with a line of questioning, and then when pressed for details, you backpedaled to a position of "who knows?"  I don't have the burden of disproving you.  I simply know, from hundreds of cross-examinations that I've done, that your claim isn't likely true...
