So shadowy, underground, and hunted terrorist cells simply decided it would be a good thing to purchase a bunch of prison jumpsuits and play dress up with hostages? I wonder if there is any precedent for this with middle-eastern terrorists/extremists - in all my years, I have never seen anything like this before.

Keep in mind the people who captured Berg were not the same people who captured Johnson - so why would these two parties have the same "fashion sense" so to speak?

How come none of the other hostages from Italy, Korea, etc. were wearing prison jumpsuits as well? Why just Berg and Johnson?

So, with Johnson, they tore off his civilian clothes, put him into a prison jumpsuit, and then tore off the left sleeve to show his tattoo? Why they do through the trouble of putting him into a jumpsuit to begin with? What is accomplished?

I just find this little thing odd - nothing adds up.
just asking questions, that's all.

Why choose? I say off with both their heads. Hell, lets include Kerry too, and make it so that this election comes down to Ralph Nader vs. Gary Nolan.

heh... at least then we'd be sure to see a little change

Exactly!!!!!!, get away ASAP. What would you think if muslims invade your country, kill and/or take to jail all the government, get the control on all your riches......? Would you stay at home telling yourself: "it?s OK, these are the saviours and they and their fucking god are right!" I doubt it.

Johnson was not Jewish, he was an American married to a Thai lady and I believe he was a practicing Buddhist or his wife converted to catholichism.

Daniel Berg was a Jew and the latest beheading was a South Korean.

And to still make my point. IT should have been Bush's head that was severed. If we were not there then none of the AMericans and others who have died for George Bush's oil schemes would be dead and neither would the majority of everyone else who has died since Bush declared the war was won and over.

Bush said the oil in Iraq belongs to the Iraqui people. Well then how come the Texas oil does not belong to the Texans or the Amrican people. IF that oil Bush owns belonged to America we would probably have enough oil for gas for all of our cars. That would also include the oil of Oklahoma and California also being the propety of the American people. Remember the BS song. This land is your land. HA. Not unless you buy it. Otherwise yuo can go to hell/.

It should belong to the Amrican people. That is if Bush is corrct about the Iraqui oil.

And why did Saddam stay.

Bush told him take your money, your fmaily, your wives, your gold and you can leave.

Shit, after the war we recovered over half a billion dollars in Saddam's money and more is around.

So that brings up the serious question of why did he stay?

He stayed because he had no fucking Weapons of Mass Destruction. In fact. It was our own countries Pentagon who l used the majority of WMD in Iraq. Not the Iraquis.

If I had biological weapons I would sure of hell had used them. The object of war is to win.

And there are no rules of engagement when you are taught that this is your rifle and this is yur gun mentality. The armed services, of which I was in, teach you to KILL. FUCKING KILL> that is the purpose. You kill them or they kill you.

So again. Saddam had no weapons or he would of used them.

He stayed in his country because he had no weapons.

WE went to war with Iraq becasue Someone crashed a plane in the sensitive side of the Pentagon.

Has anyone asked publically, why that particular section of the pentagon was hit? What offices of intelligence were demolished on that side of the pentagon?

mj

I hope Bush has an anorism in his asshole. He should be prosecuted for being a mass murdrer. He ordered the strikes as commander in chief so he is responsible for every death incurred on both sides of the line.

blah blah blah, more I hate Bush for something that is covered in the media instead of what positives are going on. Lets all fall into the terrorists hands by covering all these horrible acts, instead of the positive things going on. Our accomplishments are hard to find, you have to dig real deep to see them, but all our failures are 2" headlines on newspapers.

Texas does not have anywhere near enough oil to fuel to country for any substantial period of time...

The U.S. accounts for about 25 percent of global oil consumption but has only 3 percent of proven global oil reserves. US oil consumption in the transportation sector has risen by 42 percent since the Arab oil embargo of 1973. -http://www.ecomall.com/greenshopping/arcticsave.htm

Positives? Like the single greatest intelligence and defense failure in U.S. history, massive debt, increased size and scope of government, a ham handed foreign policy, world animosity, ignoring the letter and intent of the constitution, increased dangers to Americans abroad from terrorists and decreased freedoms at home?

and what is this rainbow of good news you speak of? and does this good news actually outweigh the importance of newscoverage of roadside bombings, political assassinations, possible civil war, human rights violations, dead 18-year old Americans, military occupation and its resistance, beheaded hostages that happen nearly on a daily basis?

It seems like these beheadings are on a dailey basis, but there only have been a few. Thats media coverage for you, maybe what you guys are seeing as negative only has another side for every single negative aspect. Its just what part of the story, the greater story sometimes, is chosen to be reported on. I know the negatives, im not blind, but theres more out there and it isnt being covered.

The day to day military victories...

a nice example is how the positive reporting when there were embedded journalists stopped when most all of them came back. Watch some of the current embedded journalists and youll find progress, much progress.

you didnt answer the question. please provide specific examples of good news. what military victories?

...and then, answer my other question that you sidestepped: and does this good news actually outweigh the importance of newscoverage of roadside bombings, political assassinations, possible civil war, human rights violations, dead 18-year old Americans, military occupation and its resistance, beheaded hostages that fill the news?

The military victories have stopped being majorly reported after the initial Iraq war, most all of the military muscle has been secret raids, taking out small pockets, or rebuilding Iraq. This is not interesting for the media to cover, but deaths and prisoners are great for them to report on...

We dont need to hear any of it, it just fuels the fire (the negative that is). What kind of country are we when we run a media war against our own operations?

Ok, there are no military vicotires, and slow but sure progress is nothing in comparison to deaths and prisoners etc etc.

As said in one of the James Bond movies, there is no news like bad news. If a group rebuilds a school, do you read about it? No, but when a contractor whos rebuilding Iraq gets imprisoned, its all over the news. See the other half there??

Military victories my ass.

Droppng a bomb is indescriminate killing. You kill hundreds of people without looking them int he eyes.

Those are not victories but are exactly as the enemy says. Acts of cowardice. Probably no more cowardly than the beheadings of innocent people. There are no inocent killings in war.

Plain Fucking English says, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL." That means everyone including Bush. Who by the way, executed more than 150 people inthe State of Texas as Governor, because he swore an oath to uphold the laws of the land. A law which says he can sign an excution order and then tell all of america he is a compasionate Christian.

That fucking turkey has no idea what either worl d means. No real Christian would ever sign an order executing anyone. In order for all to work, either no one kills or everyoe kills. Right now it is the latter beig emplyed all over the world inthe name of God, who by the way, does not make any war. Or choose sides.

Just once I would like to hear an American president say God Bless the World.

Not just America.

Can't talk about this anymore right now. I am int he land of buddha wher everyone except the muslims are usually peaceful.

(that uis only speaking of southern Thai.)
