Put another mark down for "self-religion".. I don't follow any particular group, but instead taking all religions with a grain of salt, and forming my own opinion from there.

I follow the path of shamanism which is not a religion, but a practice. No beliefs are really needed as first hand experience will soon temper your beliefs with facts. My religion could be said to be quite personal in nature and of no particular denomination. But it is completely possible for a practitioner of shamanism to be a Buddhist, Christian, or a Muslim.

I knew a guy once who had been a Buddhist, and then, being Jewish, took up his native faith and eventually became a Rabbi. Years went past and he saw that the true path was Catholicism. He was a counselor at a our Boy Scout camp in the summer. We called him Father Bob the Buddhist Rabbi because he had made his reigious journey well known.

Agnostic, it fits in with my nihilst perspective on life, and I like the teachings of epicurus

Agnostic being "I do not know if there is a god and I do not really give two damns", and nihilist being "In the end it won't matter who you are or what you did because none of this is real or matters". epicurus was like "do whatever floats your boat, and enjoy earthly pleasures"

Like I said, I certinaly understand what you're saying about not hating an entire concept, and to be able to see the positive elements of it, but can't someone say your acting on your own bias, assuming she's "a person like that".

Not affiliated with any church, but my beliefs tend to lean towards Buddhism, with a little bit of skepticism and secular humanism thrown in for good measure.

I don't subscribe to the idea of religion per se, but I do share some views of religions such as; buddhism, paganism, universaltarianism or whateverthefuck. I believe in the law of free will, reincarnation and evolution. Basically I believe that Creation is constantly evolving. And that I am a spirit in human form. As we all are.

I believe in the machines that surround me. The refrigerator, the rice cooker, the washing machine. All stainless steel wrapped in white plastic monks, humming their mantras as they work to make my life better with pure altruism.

is this what you believe or what society told you.. the mantras hummed by nature do not echo those made by man, and while all the rice cookers and washers in the world could seemingly bring happiness it is but a fallacy!
