this mushroom could be an awesome gourmet food or it could be toxic please help me get an ID. it’s not a puff ball

Habitat:
Northeastern NY, USA backyard soil grass

Gills:
some funny looking structure that doesn’t show apparent pores. likely very very tiny ? no gills

Stem:
ha, also no stem. it’s one big bulb lighter brown towards white tan on the bottom

Cap:
brown top with a blob bulb like form. i guess

Spore print color:
Very important! but i didn’t get one

Bruising:
none

Other information:

these were found in a flush after i saw few fruit about a week before maybe, idk exactly.

the finding date was September 14 and i didn’t get to posting it until now.

Also known as the purple spored puffball.
