Strange Psilocybe Subaeruginosa find
    #2800227 -

Well I'm pretty sure these are subs, just a strange variant, haven't found them like this before. Heres a pic and description.

I found these on a mulch bed in a central Auckland golf course, Strophoria Aurantiaca was growing one foot away.

The gills are light browny/orange staining blue quite rapidly.

Cap: 6.5cm diameter. Stem: .5cm diameter, 8cm long.

The stem is white with a tinge of very light brown at the bottom and is hollow.

The cap is chestnut brown with pleated edges. I've forgotten the meaning of convex/concave etc.

Early spore print, dark purple/brown.

The mushroom bruises blue, most noticeably at the top of the stem.

It smells weaker but similar then Psilocybe Subaeruginosa but most of the mushrooms are in a semi dried state.

Notice the very strange stem on the mushroom at the bottom of the picture.

I'm pretty confident these are Psilocybe Subaeruginosa, I have found a few that look like a couple of the ones I picked today. I suspect some might be the wavy cap variant, which would explain the pleated edges.

If anyone thinks these might not be what I think they are then I'd love a reply, I'm not in the mood for a hospital visit.
