.5 is 400% more than .1

Your numbers are not bad. More like .5 unvaxxed and .05 vaxxed.

There are 60 million unvaccinated people. Those numbers equate to saving 270,000 lives if they got vaccinated. It’s just hard to believe people think that isn’t worth it.

The difference of 0.4% in the whole population is millions of people!

There are 1.5 million people in my city.
0.5% = 7,500 vs 0.1% = 1,500.
There are 941 critical care hospital beds in the city and surrounding counties. 1,500 people getting severely ill at the same time would be taxing on the system. 7,500 would collapse it.

Let's just forget for one minute that we disagree on most of this stuff.

Human to human.

I'm not saying it's common but there are some people who have had adverse reactions from the vax, myocarditis in particular.

As someone who comes from a family, on both sides, with a history of heart issues, why would I risk my heart health when I already have a 99.5% chance of being fine and the vax cannot account for that last half a percent?

I'm being genuine here, in my position it makes no sense for me.  I'm not saying shots don't help for most people.  I'm just saying if I'm reading these numbers right, it doesn't make sense for me.  Believe it or not I do recognize covid is serious, but the same way you should be allowed to smoke cigs when ur not around people, I shouldn't have to be vaccinated if I work from home and spend most of my time in the woods w my wife and dogs.

Health ministry warns of vaccine's side effects
Japan's health ministry has listed inflammation of the heart muscle and of the outer lining of the heart in younger males as possible serious side effects of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccines.

The ministry held a panel of expert on Saturday and proposed warning of the risk by printing "serious side effects" on the documents attached to the vaccines.

It will also require hospitals to report in detail incidents involving people who developed the symptoms within 28 days after being vaccinated, according to the law.

The plan was approved by the panel, and the ministry will notify municipalities.

Anyone who doesn't want the shot is called a stupid conspiracy theorist, but the truth is you all need someone to blame bc this stupid shot doesn't work anywhere near as good as we would've hoped.  Yell at big pharma to make a better product, yell at China for leaking this shit.  But it's not our faults that you think forcing a vaccine that doesn't stop the spread is somehow gonna fix this situation.
