Gravity Built the Universe * 1
    #27390755 -

The very early universe consisted of mostly uniform hydrogen, the very first and most simple element on the periodic table.
It wasn't until all that hydrogen began clumping together into colossal clouds and fusing under the weight of its own gravity did the heavier elements begin to even exist...

as the universe aged further and new stars began to rapidly form out of increasingly massive clouds of hydrogen, the very first stars in the universe begin to die.
the last bits of hydrogen and helium in the very first stars are fusing all away, becoming heavier and less reactive elements, never-before-seen...

as these first stars begin expanding with all of this transformed matter and the fusion process of the star begins to run out of fuel...the first stars start to supernova and violently unleash novel elements in every perceivable direction of the early universe...
as these novel elements gravitate and mash into one another...asteroids and elementally complex planets form and begin to orbit stars... everything is moving closer to something heavier than itself.

Eventually stars and solar systems begin clumping and spiraling around black holes left behind from the first supernova...creating galaxies as we know them now.
It just blows my mind sometimes to think that the universe began from only a single, uniform and most simple element, and via the process described above organized itself into countless solar systems in countless galaxies...leaving behind the periodic table of elements, chemistry, DNA...and life!

Complexity unfathomable.
From simple single electron atoms to friggin humanity...from humanity to language, culture, technology.

Its absurd...From relatively simple beginnings to a near infinite scale of increasingly accelerating complexity...and its all because of gravity and hydrogen.

Gotta have a canvas and some tools

I don't think it's fair to say gravity built the universe. It's doing it's part though and it is wild to think about how it came to be

Time and chance developed, built and evolved life which is also an admirable cosmic phenomena.

If you've ever seen rocks erode it's the tip of the icebird and the smallest of scales. Scales up, planets are eroded galaxies of collapsing dust.

A fine thought our ancestors hadn't yet reached.

yah, is the expansion of space the cause of gravity or is it gravity itself.

odd that it is so grave
which we associate with death

According to the experts we and the universe came from infinity.  An "infinitely hot and dense singularity"

Which lessens the shock of it all.  If this comes from infinity then we should be amazed at how its taken so damn long.  13.8 billion years c'mon man ??

i thought the world was expanding (us too) and inertia against where we were relative to another dimension was keeping up the gravitic pressure

In the 1920s, astronomers including Georges Lemaître and Edwin Hubble found that most galaxies exhibit such a redshift — and that the redshift was greater for more distant galaxies. From these observations, they deduced that the Universe must be expanding.

Doppler Effect is.. as the effect of a car driving past you. As the car approaches you the sound it produces is higher pitched than when it drives away from you, where the sound becomes lower in pitch. In contrast, when the sound source moves towards you the wavelength decreases and the frequency of the sound increases (higher pitch). When the sound source moves away from you the wavelength increases and the frequency of the sound decreases (lower pitch).
Meanwhile, when the light from a galaxy which is moving away from you is observed, the wavelength of the observed light appears longer, it moves towards the red end of the spectrum. This is called RED SHIFT

Later time A Cosmologist, however, claimed that the universe might not be expanding at all. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/17/universe-expanding-cosmologist_n_3606136.html

recently, international scientists were presenting evidences that contradicted the idea of Doppler and Hubble that Red Shift implies stars and galaxies are going farther from each other, therefore suggesting an ever expanding universe.
So in an expanding Universe the most distant galaxies should have hundreds of times dimmer surface brightness than similar nearby galaxies, making them actually undetectable with present-day telescopes.
But that is not what observations show, as demonstrated by this new study published in the International Journal of Modern Physics D.
The scientists carefully compared the size and brightness of about a thousand nearby and extremely distant galaxies. They chose the most luminous spiral galaxies for comparisons, matching the average luminosity of the near and far samples.
Contrary to the prediction of the Big Bang theory, they found that the surface brightnesses of the near and far galaxies are identical.
These results are consistent with what would be expected from ordinary geometry if the Universe was not expanding, and are in contradiction with the drastic dimming of surface brightness predicted by the expanding Universe hypothesis.

In concordant of that from the last update from Stephen Hawkin.
Professor Hawking's last work suggests that idea of eternal inflation is wrong.
Einstein’s theory breaks down in eternal inflation.”
In fact, the universe is a rather more simple and smooth than previously thought, the study suggests.
“We predict that our universe, on the largest scales, is reasonably smooth and globally finite. So it is not a fractal structure,” said Professor Hawking

while it can be considered that this universe is reasonably smooth and globally finite. IMO theres a possibility that this is a single neuron on a vast network.

Seems odd to say that from an infinite singularity the universe would then be inflating away from itself.  If it’s from an infinite singularity it is more like a deflation.  Things are cooling, slowing down.  I really have no idea tho.  Seems the astrophysicist is always correcting himself

I kinda agree with his last remarks, aswell as that of yours motion and rest analogy, Just as the sun's both movement and its repose like the outer and middle point of a rotating wheel.

With a slightly askew perspective one may see that each consciousness resembles an infinitely dense point of information.

Would a black hole know it was a black hole or would it think it was the universe it was consuming.
