Will this drying setup work okay?

Some unexpected financial troubles hit recently, and I can’t afford a dehydrator right now, so I have been trying to come up with creative solutions to drying my shrooms.  I finally came up with an idea that sounds satisfactory to me, but I’m a noob and I’d like some input. 



This setup should work to take out most of the moisture in about 24ish hours, right?  I do have a desiccant drying system in place to remove the last bit of moisture from the shrooms after fan drying them.  I’d like to hear what more experienced growers have to say about this rigged system I have come up with.  It’s the best, most efficient idea I could come up with.

oven on minimum setting with the door cracked open will work fine, place a fan outside pointing in to move the air around. Most oven minimums are 200 which is a little high so the fan would definitely help, some go down to 175 which is pretty good. My dehydrator caps at 165 which is what I run it at.

as far as that set up you have pictured, it would really depend on your relative humidity. My house averages 40-50% and I'm fairly confident that setup would not work very well for me but if it's all you have it's worth a try if you don't have an oven.

if you're strapped for cash, see if you can find one second hand or at good will or craigslist or something instead of buying a new one. I got mine for free from a friend who's ex had left one in her house lol you never know.

Definitely give the oven a go, it works well with the fan.

Lay the harvest on the screen with the fan just far enuff to where they don't fly away rotate them around once or twice a day until dry .. good luck
